Lucky Texan just claimed biggest prize ever paid to a single player in state's lottery
A lucky Texan just won the biggest prize ever awarded to a single player in the state's lottery. A resident in Leander, a city in the Austin metro area, claimed the $227 million jackpot prize for the Mega Millions drawing in late September, according to a lottery news release. The winner is remaining anonymous. After taxes, the winner will take home just over $157 million. While two other jackpots in Texas have been larger, this was the biggest prize won by a single player in the state,

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Skeptic, thanks for that info. I compared it to the 2nd chance entry info you posted Feb 15th for the mid Feb drawing (page 629), which was of course entirely pre-$30 GRC. It seems like the jump is solidly attributable to the $30 GRC release at the end of Feb. I m kinda a data junky so if any readers don t like going through info they can file in the that s interesting but who cares drawer feel free to stop reading now. So, addressing entries: From the Feb draw, there were 5,697,056 entri

Illinois seems to be #4. And contradictory! These are from their FAQ page: Will The Illinois Lottery Publicly Release My Name And City Of Residence Absent A Request Under Applicable Law? This depends on the prize amount. If your prize is $250,000 or more, at the time of claiming the prize you may submit a written request on the Illinois Lottery Claim form to keep your name and city of residence confidential from public disclosure. However, the Illinois Lottery may release your name an

Hoosier Lottery often pulls plug on high-dollar scratch-off games before all prizes can be won
So, here is the missing piece of information. Do you know how they get low sales numbers for a game they want pulled? They push new games out that compete for the same spot in the bins. They know how many retailers there are in a state and the total number of display bins. They say the games are pulled due to low sales which is not untrue. The low sales are generated by the constant release and targeted release of competing games. There is a 10$ game right now they will do this with. They have t

Judge rules $560M Powerball lottery winner can stay anonymous
Now everyone else can sue the lotteries into oblivion. If you were hit in the head it's not because the sky is falling. This ruling probably has almost zero consequence for anything other than the next person who signs their own name to the back of a New Hampshire lottery ticket. It seems to address only this one particular case, so the next winner who signs their own name can claim it as precedent but would still have to establish that their circumstances are essentially similar. It may be

NH Powerball lottery winner sues for anonymity
The rules need to be clarified since they did not address the trust option Players' grasp of the rules aren't always clear, but the rules themselves are generally very clear and specific. Any judge is free to interpret the law based on different facts. The facts of a case determine which laws are relevant, but judges are required to apply the law according to it's meaning. In some instances the law may be ambiguous, but any necessary interpretation is based on the law, not the facts
