Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the last story about him say He is being very patient about this ? Now he's getting antsy? I guess I'm slow on the uptake here, but isn't the ticket holder the barer here? I understand the clerk stole it and I understand it belongs to Willis (there is so much proof pointing at him) but how is the Texas Lottery to know all of that until it is explained to them? They gave the money to the person with the legitimate winning ticket. I guess I'm trying to s

You just hit the Jackpot - 200+ Millions - now what??
If I won a $200 million plus jackpot this is a few of the things I would do: Cash my ticket. Pay IRS. Make sure I get the annuity not the cash value of the jackpot. Pay tithes on the jackpot using my annual checks. Thank GOD everyday for the blessing I have received. Do my wild spending with my first 2 million dollars. Just to get it out of my system. Set up trusts for my children. Do a large donation to Lottery Post for maintenance and upkeep. Upgrade my Lottery Post membership for life. Re

Is PB & MM truly random...
I don't concern myself too much with the dynamics of randomness or it's existence as it pertains to PB or MM. My system is the same one used by most of the multi-millionaires out there who have won the big jackpots - dumb luck. I understand the search and the work put into finding a system or formula for predicting the numbers and I realize that it's a fun hobby and a passion for some people. I think that's a good thing and I hope somebody cracks the code at some point and wins big. But th

Can I get some help with online lottery tax info
The problem here is you don't understand what casual gambler and gambling winnings means. We are required to report all our income including gambling winnings for the taxable year and the definition of a taxable year is between January 1 and December 31. I can't find where it says to report that free ticket I cashed on August 17, February 2, July 10, or any other day of the year. With over 2 months to go in the taxable year 2009, it's impossible for anyone to now accurately report gambling winni

Frequent lottery wins by retailers investigated
The I / we / he / she plays a lot. is a B.S. statement when it's not supported by proof. Demonstrate this statement to be true by showing documentation that you have played a lot . In many cases they can't because they did not ask the seller for a receipt of the sale, and yes, you can get a receipt for a lottery sale. Or, they don't have all the losing tickets that comes from playing a lot. Another way to tell they are lying is questioning them about where they bought the ticket. As you seen, if

$1000 a week for life? So what
After reading this thread I just had to get some Win For Life tickets last night but I only matched two numbers and didn't win anything. Win For Life is a multi-state (Kentucky, Georgia, and Virginia) game where they draw 6 numbers from a pool of 42 (6/42) and then draw 1 more number as a bonus ball. It's not matching any 6 numbers out of the 7 drawn because the bonus ball is not used for the grand prize, but if you match any 5 numbers plus the bonus ball, you'll win $52,000. The payments for th

Calif. man claims half of $333M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
1. AS I PREDICTED, there was immediately another winner (in GA) on the next drawing for $12 million. Although, the bonus ball 19 and not 10 as I had thought. 2. Sidebar: what is the most unusual place you have seen a Lottery terminal? I would vote for a nail salon in the Rockaway Mall #1 and this noodle joint as #2. 3. Why's that dude sawing his guitar?? 4. If it's QP, then whoever pushed the key on the terminal at exactly the right instant when the RNG had the winning set, should get a

Texas Lottery announces record sales for Mega Millions
Mega Millions sales in Texas for last Friday's $333 million advertised jackpot were $49.8 million for the prize's entire roll cycle, the highest sales recorded in Texas for any game. The roll cycle began on July 10 with a $12 million starting jackpot and ended with a $325 million advertised jackpot that, because of brisk sales, was bumped to $333 million, said Texas Lottery Commission Deputy Executive Director Gary Grief. This is the highest dollar value of sales for a Mega Millions jackpot

Working Scratch of tactics thread
It all helps! Here's a shocker I figured out. In order to turn a profit and give away the occaisional big prize. MOST of the rolls of tickets for any game are sour , that is, no big winners. If the software or whoever distributes the rolls has determined the sour rolls go to your local store, you'll be wasting your money sadly hoping to win. But all the rolls look like they have big winners on them. They're identical . They're flashy, cleverly designed. Buying a number of tickets is best if y
