Pa. Lottery players dig Treasure Hunt game
Let's keep in mind several things: 1) PA's 5/39 game, that start off with Jackpots of $100,000+, are won quite regularly throughout the week (check the website to see how often!). $100,000. is far preferable to TH's measley $10,000! 2) That PA camoflauges or masks it's computer-ized 5/30 game with such graphics does not fool me. It's still computer-driven, meaning that its internal software can continue to scan ticket combinations purchased by players to carefully regulate when to desig

Why do people try to justify their desire to win the Lottery?
Excellent question posted by the originator! I side with the philosophy- Teach a man how to fish , and he'll eat for life. So learning a skill or just being able to read write is worthy of donating to. Tithing is a personal choice. Im just not a person to fall into that thought pattern. Most folks who win jackpots do have guilt about having TOO much, so figure they can buy there guilt off by sharing. In my book its theirs. They dont *NEED* to give to anyone or anything. One c

501 Million Jackpot !!
Also i think they should raise the jackpot to 3 dollars that way they will have high jackpots...Mexico needs a Billion dollar lottery.....Giving people 20 million dollars PER DRAW IN MEXICO is nothing...Those winners will tend to waste their money or create small companies...I've seen Mexico's education system and they have one of the best in Latin America...Their universities is like Top Notch, seen through our eyes Panamenians...What Mexico needs to do is consolidate all the draws and play it

High gas prices and lottery spending.
I will now only spend the same amount once the Jackpots get to a level that I like. If they are not at that level, I will not buy tickets. I live in an area of Michigan that rarely ever sees winners. I am tired of reading stories of people in SE Mich who have won multiple times like that guy who got two 1Million dollar winning scratch offs in the same store in Dexter...Or that guy in Saginaw who won the fantasy 5 twice. Or how about that terminal in Jackson that sold Million dollar raffle

I have seen store clerks saving scratch-off tickets for people.
The only thing that makes me wonder is that I heard several employees at my local Publix market won a lot on scratch tickets. I rarely buy scratchers, mainly Lotto. However, one day when I said I never win anything, the clerk started telling me about this clerk and that clerk who won with the instant games. I only know of one cashier there who hit $10,000. While I doubt the cashier had any inside information, allowing employees to play scratch-offs where they work is just bad for busin

'All or Nothing' game
Pick 5 games just don't get to that level of jackpots. In Illinois ours is now a 5/ 39 with a prgoressive jackpot that has gone over $1,000,000 a few times, but that's rare. I've posted before about a 'wider' winner base, which is something I'd like to see.... say three $50 million dollar winners when a jackpot is $150 million, but put this poll up for fun. Nothing else creates a frenzy like a huge jackpot - just watch the board, and the TV news the next time PB or MM is up. Also, most

A Model for What to do with the Jackpot You just Won
I just want to make a comment on all of this. The guy won he money, good for him. Now my $.02 - there's a theory that states the American education system has one goal in mind, to teach you to be somebody else's employee. I think lottery winners that win huge jackpots and insist on continuing to work have just been brow-beat by such a system. Here's a guy who wins millions and is going to keep working for Gold's Gym . He could buy his own gym, many times over, even Gold's Gyms with

Who has the worse of situations?
Ok, someone asked 'what if ?' And folks reply 'that would never happen'. 'That would never happen' is not a valid reply to a 'what if ?' 'What if' ALL of us on this thread won successive jackpots ? 'That would never happen' is what someone will say. And then I will say 'correct, but what if it did ?' JXP - my choice for your 'what if ?' is A)

Why Quick Picks win...Hint: It's *NOT* what you think, folks!
From what I've read re: playing birthdays or not, the deal is not to play anything but birthdays, that is not to use birthdays as all your numbers, because so many people do just that. If you were to hit 6 for 6 doing that, the thought is you're going to be sharing the jackpot, possibly many ways. From tracking winner's list e-mails from a state lottery or two, what I have seen is that when all the numbers are lower the jackpots are indeed much more likely to habe multiple winners. As fa
