Why Quick Picks win...Hint: It's *NOT* what you think, folks!
with odds over 1:20 million, there ARE NO logical number sequences. I guess it depends on what you mean by sequence. Most combinations won't have a pattern, but whatever combination turn up it's always a logical combination because they're all logical. Being logical doesn't mean they're predictable. Letitride makes a valid point about what a lot of people expect a winning combination to look like. Those people have a reasonable chance of predicting what the winning combination wil

Who has the worse of situations?
Person A sounds like JW and Person B sounds like a lot of us. I watched 20/20 of course. JW started drinking because of how people were bothering him for money. Key words are started and drinking . His first mistake was sounding and acting generous and his 2nd was the drinking. His 3rd was trusting his teenage granddaughter and not being more involved. He could have told her this guy is a druggie, break up with him immediately or no more $2K/week and taken action against the boyfriend. What

Why the sudden concern with anonymity ?
IF they allowed winners to remain anonymous, I GUARANTEE YOU that all of you would start asking questions after the 10th, 15th, 20th, etc. lottery winners went unannounced. Someone wins 360 mill, and nobody knows who. Someone wins 400 mill, and nobody knows. Several people win several 150 mill jackpots over the course of 2-3 years, and nobody knows who, I KNOW people will start asking questions, and don't even try to say you would not be wondering yourselves. Don't want to be famous

N.C. Lottery celebrating 1st birthday
..... Current law requires at least 35 percent of lottery profits be used to support education-related causes, such as class-size reduction and need-based scholarships. Easley has asked the General Assembly to decrease the sum to 29 percent, saying the difference would help create higher jackpots and more prizes for scratch-off tickets. The anticipated sales boost would lead to $1.5 billion in sales during the next fiscal year and increase funds for education, Easley said. ......... _

Do You Give Advice About The Lottery?
Sometimes when I am buying my tickets, there are people at the counter who aren't very familiar with the various games offered. When I'm standing in line, sometimes I offer my expertise and even mention I frequent an online lottery board if we begin to chat. I'm guessing some of those people think I should be locked up in a padded room, but most thank me for explaining how to fill out the cards or telling them what the current jackpots are for the week. I thought of this poll, because

pumpi In royal-flush crazy Las Vegas $500 and $1000 payoffs for a Pick 3 and Pick 4 game are not going to create much interest at all. People can just put oney into a vido poiker machine and go for those kind of payoffs and not have to wait for a nightly drawing. A state lottery offering at least $2,000,000 as a start point would be different. There are some progressive slots that offer those kind of jackpots but they most always take multiple coins, for one thing. Back in the 1980's

Quik Pic observations from a new LP member...
I'll probably argue with Coin Toss forever about some aspects of probability, but I'm guessing his reference to the 12 to 15 winners per year is an astute reference to what actual results and probability tell us about the distribution of combinations among the 70% of tickets that are QP's. First, is it possible that out of 300 tickets, there could be 12 repeated combinations as a result of pure randomness? Sure. It's extremely unlikely, but extremely unlikely things happen all the time. Shu

Mix & Match the end?
If what you are saying is true, a COMPUTER drawn RNG 5/30, then this is more than the beginning of RIGGED games in PA! The three step RIGGING FORMULA is simple: 1) First, you install a computer to select the numbers, which destroys true randomness! 2) Next, make sure your software can detect in microseconds that the computer's selection was not PRE-selected by any player out there. This will ensure you increase your state's profits! 3) Lastly, collect unjust, unfair profits at end o

$355 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
I don't like when the relocate the drawing because it can derail my best algorithms! For this reason I included 10 quick-picks from the Leprechaun News in Rutherford, nj because that's how someone won and it's known for the same store to sell two jackpot winners. Use whatever system you like for this drawing, fortune cookies, family members' ages, whatever. I'm predicting the winners will be a group of people from a Supermarket, in either a suburb of Atlanta or Cleveland. Now, what happens
