Missing The $200m-$300m Jackpots
Whether or not any given roll builds into a large jackpot is strictly a function of probability, and a large jackpot can never be ruled out until a small jackpot is hit.
The cash value for the current MM jackpot went up by about $7 million, which would mean about 24 million tickets are expected to be sold. If the combinations played were actually picked at random 24 million tickets would account for about 22 million of the possible 176 million combinations. That's 12.5%, which means there

Whipping Whipping Whipping
Hello Tntea. Glad you had a fun and profitable trip.
Its inspiring to see you are always thinking out the box, and relentless when it comes to mastering this 'lotto thing'.
I believe you Tntea can very well whip the Pick 5 and 6. Many of us have trumped the odds when it comes to winning the Pick 3 and Pick 4. The same can be done with the Pick 5 and the Jackpots. Its very, very, very doable. Yes, I know about the odds(yawn). But we've all seen how even the lotto itself often defies the s

Calif. Lottery misprint leaves 'winners' with nothing
1. Don't count your money (especially on scratch-offs) until you are given a check.
2. Does anyone have a copy of the actual misprinted ticket? I have a program that can show how many words you got. I'd love to see what it looks like onscreen.
3. If anyone wants this program I will share it. All it does is to double-check your Crossword tickets (most states) by entering the info in 2 text files, and it puts up a window showing a simulation of the game ticket with the letters highlighted.

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Wow, I really opened a can of worms on this one. Let me ramble...lol
All I am saying is that people think their odds of winning change when they buy a ticket once the jackpot is rolled-over. At that point, if you are so fortunate to win , then you might share with many. But does it matter at that point...? When you look at $30 million and there's 6 winners, you still are taking home 5 million. I wouldn't scoff at that at all.
Now being in Canada lotteries are tax-

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP

Do you realize you just implied that buying two tickets covers half of the total combinations?
And yes, buying 2 tickets does cut the odds in half. That's like telling me that if I buy half of the total combinations in a game, my overall odds are not 1 in 2.
I'm just going to let all you people who really believe that keep thinking it - it sells a lot more tickets for the lottery, most tickets are losers, and that's how jackpots grow.
In any form of gambling, the los

How Comes
All great questions to give our minds a workout,Coin Toss!
I, too, have often wondered why pick 5 doesn't generate as much interest. I guess it all comes down to those extra 3 zeroes as in 50,000 vs. 50,000,000. When it comes to jackpots, size does matter.
Interesting comparison between mystical and mathematical with mystical getting more attention. We're all a bunch of dreamers on here, aren't we? According to my own family I'm wasting my time but who's going to be laughing in

Hot Lotto: 3d largest US jackpot
Even though HL is now computerized, this is a game that should be taken seriously. This game should IMO eventually be made available by all MUSL members, even if the game is changed to make it less like Powerball. Changing the name from HL also would be a good idea, as Idaho once had a pick-5 called Hot Lotto .
MUSL of course should continue to push to get all PB participants to join HL, but it should also very soon (say next year) change the double matrix. If MUSL wants to keep it a mini-Po

Has This Ever Happened To You?
I have never won more than $2.00 with any lottery quickpicks, they are useless as far as I am concerned. If 50% of the winners are QP'S there is a reason for this, point in case right now, Nobody has won PBALL or BEGFORMILLIONS [megamillions] for weeks, I've hit twice 3 of 5 in this PBALL period and the PBALL this past wed. no thanks to QP'S. I believe the reason people hit on QP'S is because of shear number of non-regular players that play when the jackpots get big, it is more likely that so

Oklahoma Cash 5 lottery game on sale today
I like GA's Fantasy 5, which is a matrix of 5/39 as well.
It is a pari-mutual game...Lower tier prizes are decent :
2/5 = free qp ticket
3/5 = $10- $20 depending on JP and number of winners
4=5 = $ 300- $500 depending on JP and number of winners
some of the jackpots have made it to 7 figures, as it rolls until hit...
