If a young person won a HUGE pot how would you feel?
I started playing the lottery when I turned 18, and I know the last thing on my mind were Olympic swimming pools or mansions. I was more looking forward to launching companies, making a difference in the world, and being able to retire at an early age.
Generally people throw a fit when anybody but them wins, but it seems to me that they do it the most when the winner is either very young or very old. To me there is no such thing as deserving a jackpot win, I don't care how charitable, poor, o

Career cover story after winning the lottery?
I'd be moving cities if I won so I could somewhat easily use the cover story of working at a startup that got bought out, since I can prove I lived in an area where tech companies were prevalent, and that I'm now moving back to Texas because I have the means to retire here much easier than in California (they don't need to know I've been back in the state for a few years). If asked which startup I was a part of I could simply say I prefer not to disclose that and my major in college would give t

Lottery Pools
You're probably right about the written agreement thing. When it first started, it was just me and my officemate, but she told others and membership increased. We've been doing this for a long time, so I do trust the people in the group.
As for if anyone wins on their own personal tickets, I've never considered the idea of sharing that. After all, there's no dispute over which tickets belong to the pool and which are separate. I have one coworker who said if she did win it big, she would l

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I usually pick up 1 a day on my way home. I would say my ROI is good. I only post the $100+ winners and kind of gloss over the $10, $20 stuff. I like the games that have a Fast Spot. It's replaced $1,000,000 Fortune right now as my favorite just because I seem to have more luck on it that LFL or Black. Black has been garbage for me. Same with Diamond Millionaire.
I am hoping for another good $10 LFL type game when they retire this one. It only has 1 more winner it looks like until the final

Man's ex-wife wins lottery and makes him a millionaire
Congratulations to Doreen and John Jr. Hay on your tidy 7.5 million UK jackpot win! It is very thoughtful of each of you to give John Sr. 1 million combined!
John Sr., please don't squander this money gift from your family. This 1 million is certainly not enough to retire BEFORE age 66, or even take your current young family on a long, expensive trip! I hope your current family can talk you into, instead, taking merely a 5-day mid-priced family vacation within your own continent and inves

Even if you play the lottery for years will you win?
Hello onlymoney,
Well maybe the one thing I have is hope even if that hope is dismally low of ever winning a jackpot. If you truly feel that way why do you even play? I play for the chance to win someday. Every year people win a jackpot (though I know it's only a small percentage of people who ever win). I've accepted for years the fact that I will be working till I die but since I've always had low paying jobs it's just nice to dream at a chance to someday be able to retire from the working

Lottery New Years Resolutions
Decorate your lucky red envelope with the number 8 drawn with a glitter pen.
As for me, I will continue to use my lucky green envelope with the number 8 drawn with a glitter pen.
I will win the fantay 5 and retire.
I will get more straights in the pick 3.
