PA cash 5 going up...
Yes it is good enough to pay for a house, (in my case) but personally I would rather have a lifetime of checks. At least you know you will always be getting them, and can't spend them all in one shot. I don't have a problem with winning $250,000, but cash_only is trying to make another invalid comparison simply to further express his discourse for something that has been beaten to death long ago, and is nothing more than age-old, tiring rhetoric.
I am assuming though that he is over 50 or 60

PB Jackpots
Why do you hope it rolls? Could you explain that to me because I honestly don't get it. I understand that we all want to win as much as we can. But you obviously don't even play Powerball. I mean...seriously...I've never met anyone who bought a lottery ticket and then said I just bought a lottery ticket. Man! I really hope the jackpot rolls over for this draw!
What is the attraction with record jackpots you don't play and therefore cannot win? Do you understand that when the jackpot

odds are reduced

Buying one Pick 3 ticket gives you odds of 1 in 1000 or 1/1000, buying two Pick 3 tickets equals odds of 2 in 1000 or 1 in 500 as a reduced fraction...and yes, 500 combos arent simply going to disappear. But, 100 Pick 3 tickets equals odds of 100 in 1000 or 100/1000 ....or 1/10 as a reduced fraction. Either way you look at it, 100 in 1000 or 1 in 10 is still exactly 10% and is also the average amount of all games that you would

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $212 million
A dramatic increase in sales of Mega Millions lottery tickets has prompted the twelve Mega Millions states to raise the jackpot mid-week to $212 million.
The new cash option is $126 million.
Recently, the news has been filled with big jackpots and winners, said Mike Doyle, spokesperson for the California State Lottery. Wouldn't you love to be part of the winning?
The sharply-increasing Mega Millions jackpot comes on the heels of a Powerball jackpot this week that set the record fo

I am not a winner
I got zero...zilch...zippo...nada...bupkus...doughnuts...marbles...air biscuits! I got Squat!
And to add insult to injury all day long I stood at the counter of the shop I work in and sold ticket after ticket to, clueless. glassy eyed, millionaire wannabes...most of whom have never played before and had to ask me how to play!
The only thing that's going to make this whole thing worse is if someone does win, for the next several days we'll be inunadated with stories of first time players

Lottery can not be beaten!!
Dream, you said:
is either by buying all the combinations...
That's not true. If you could, the jackpot for that particular drawing would have to be paying off at better than the odds of hitting the one winning combination and that would still be counting on a solo hit.
The odds against Mega Millions are over 140,000,000 to one. If you had $140,000,000 it is extremely unlikely you'd be willing to wager $140,000,000 to win, voila, $140,000,000. And even if you did and one other person

State due for PB win
Nobody will win tonight's Powerball drawing... it is going to roll to Saturday, February 18, 2006 and will be an ALL TIME RECORD of $365 million.
Then, and only then it will be won in the state of OREGON!
My friends, there is a pattern behind the Powerball lottery and I have cracked the code. I am not referring to silly lottery systems, numbers involved, or anything of the such. I am referring to a pattern God allowed me to discover that involves the number of Jackpots. The current Jack

Hmm...I need to go back and read all the posts because I must have missed something, unless you are saying that 3 people splitting the winning jackpot will not be stinking, filthy rich. In American dollars isn't that over $75 million each, tax free (and they don't have to take it in an annuity!) So that's equal to one of our mega jackpot

Bea Padilla had a smile on her face as she walked into Taylor Food Mart. She had good reason.Padilla doubled her $5 investment in an Oklahoma Lottery scratch-off ticket and was putting that $10 bill toward gasoline Friday afternoon.
