New Florida lottery law increases prizes
Florida lottery players soon will rake in more dough when they win games such as Lotto, Mega Money and Fantasy 5, thanks to a bill signed into law Thursday by Gov. Jeb Bush. Bush, an outspoken critic of gambling, and state lottery officials are betting that the higher payouts will boost ticket sales for the games, similar to a measure passed three years ago that doubled the sales of scratch-off games.Higher sales should mean more money for education, which is the stated purpose of the new law. S.C. Lottery may learn lessons from Georgia
As North Carolina inches closer to starting a lottery, Georgia lottery officials may be enjoying a sense of irony, as South Carolina is now undergoing the same uncomfortable feeling that they created for the Georgia Lottery when they started the S.C. Education Lottery in 2002.At the time, South Carolina politicians estimated that a Palmetto State lottery would siphon away up to $112 million from Georgia's lottery. But those predictions never came to pass.Instead, Georgia has enjoyed a string of r

Opinion: Time has come for a lottery in North Carolina
Charlotte Observer EditorialBy Jim Black, N.C. House SpeakerNorth Carolina must make the education of our children our number one priority and find the needed revenue to fund it. The future of our state and its people depend upon it.Unfortunately, the North Carolina legislature is facing a budget shortfall of more than $1.2 billion in the upcoming year. In order to continue improving education, legislators will either have to increase taxes or find new revenue sources to help fund education.Rais

Lottery proposal faces long odds in Nevada
Motivated by a struggling education system, Nevada lawmakers are trying for the 23rd time since 1975 to establish a statewide lottery by amending the Nevada Constitution. They say a history of failures and past opposition by the states dominant casino industry wont keep them from trying again.Advocates say a lotterys potential profits, after prizes and operating expenses are deducted, could generate from $30 million to $70 million each year for education money they say is sorely needed.Nevada ra

Gail Howards books
Hi Everybody,In a 1/23/05 post (above) I talked about how I use Gail's Chart #4 to pick my numbers. Well last night in the PA 6/38 (Lucky For Life) game I did it again. What the chart shows are patterns and her Lottery Master Guide and manual accompanying the software explain how you can identify and apprehend or approximate those patterns for number selection. When to Play the Lottery
Phokas...maybe you should keep an open mind on predetermination. If you spare time, I suggest you check the National Football League to see if you can uncover signals, patterns or however you want to refer to them, that give don't fail indications of winners. But a caveat. You may have to spend years, and when I say years, I mean many years to break the 'NFL football code . But at least it will keep you hame and out of trouble if you decide to do it. It's there insome college football games
