Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
How can your trust win a lottery before your trust even exists? Only a legal entity that owns a lottery ticket at the time of the drawing can be a winner. Any entity that acquires a winning lottery ticket after it becomes a winning ticket is merely an owner.
Even if you could remain anonymous by creating a trust, how much do you suppose a lawyer will charge to have their name and face substituted for yours? I wouldn't take the chance of having my business phone inundated with worthless calls,

I would be happy with 10 million dollars, what about you?
Where did you get those numbers? they suggest an average rate of inflation of about 5.5% over 40 years, but the first 5 years is 14.5% and the next 5 years is 1.6%. Regardless, how much do you think you could earn by investing $5.47 million when inflation is at 14% or 5.5%?
The figures that BigBear posted don't account for any investment income at all, but a rate of 2.44% would yield a gross income of slighty more than $133,415. Let's figure 3.5% is required to result in that much after taxes

Powerball winner dies penniless, 12 years after winning $27 million
Well, on the flip side of that coin are the people who never save a dime, don't die before the age of 65 and when they're supposed to retire they have no money. Instead of enjoying their old age after decades of slaving away, they either have to keep on working or live off what ever handouts they can get. The anomaly of a person who saved, dying before retirement shouldn't stop people from saving. From all accounts, Mr Edwards regretted squandering all his money. I don't think it's anyone's drea

$257 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot expands
I'd gladly take the JP from the state's 6/49 game w/odds of 1 in a little less than 14 mil.
right now it has a cash value of 7.9 mils. even w our onerous state tax of 10.8% and fed tax @ 39% you'd still about 3.6 mils,
all in need to retire.

Do you see further " modifications" to the MM game should the betting public stay away?
The new MM odds are about 1 in 259 million, not 285 million. That there are about 84 million more combinations for MM isn't the useful comparison. What matters is that there are about 50% more combinations, so that your odds of winning the MM jackpot with a single ticket are about 2/3 of your chances of winning the PB jackpot with one ticket. Of course you get the MM odds for only half the cost of a PB ticket, so you can either have more than half as much chance of winning for half the cost, or

Replaying with money won.
I know I'm probably going to sound like a jack ass right now but my mother died of cancer few years ago and while she only had a few months to live, I took a leave of absence from my job to see if there is anything I could do for her. I am in the science industry and have been for almost 30 years. But after learning about the how the whole cancer research industry is funded, organized and managed, I would not give them a dime for cancer research. Just my 2 cents. Instead, I donate my time doing

eelotto Guy system - wins lots of prizes?
certain patterns, using sums, odds/evens and high/lows. None of which helps one jot.
There are a lot of software programs out there that use all kinds of stats to try to predict what numbers might come up. I think that there is some truth to watching for trends. If a person flipped a coin ten times in theory it should come up 5 heads and 5 tails. If you are on say 4 heads on the first 4 flips then you could say it looks like a tail should be coming. Yet each flip is 50/50 but the total wo

Why is it that no one has ever won a dozen or more MUSL jackpots?
Over 91 million tickets were purchased trying to win the $400 million PB jackpot last week and only ONE winning ticket. Why do expect that one jackpot winner should win the jackpot again?
If I was one of these winners, I'd win the next five $300 million plus drawings then retire.
If you think it's that easy to win twice, ever wonder why you never won it once?
