IRS scammed with losing lottery tickets
First of all that wouldn't bother me in the slightest. The IRS is a hornets nest of fraud and I would have absolutely np with anything he did to save a dime or two. It's not like he made money, he could only offset his winnings.
Now with all that said, I have no clue what he did with them. I don't know if he ever had a personal win big enough to need offsetting. He sure didn't tell us if he did, and we sure didn't as a group. For all I know he just used them for second chance drawings. And be

How is this not a massive fraud by the Florida Lottery?
Ron, just the opposite-- the Florida Lottery had record breaking sales of scratch off tickets for two weeks in a row and they have posted press releases to that fact on their website. The record breaking weeks were the week after this 10 million dollar scratch off was announced. They had two really good weeks of ticket sales and they've sold millions of tickets. The prizes were reduced after that initial marketing push that resulted in these record breaking sales. Obviously 25% of the prizes wer

Pay for tickets w/ credit card? NYC promotions
I assume US States are trying to PREVENT FRAUD, by NOT accepting credit cards.
If states did accept credit cards, the lottery ticket printed out, should indicate that it was a credit card transaction, so that if it is a winning ticket, the winner should be required to present official photo proof [like drivers license] that he/she is the rightful owner of the credit card, to insure that the credit card is not borrowed from a friend/relative, without permission or stolen.
Even if this was

New Show About Lottery Winners Starts Today ...
I was just watching one of the newest american greed and they had an episode called the Playboy of Indiana , turns out he was a fraudster. The things he bought was with money he stole from investors ,lot of the luxury cars were leased and the huga mansion had a huge mortgage and was poorly build. Is crazy how they go from documenting his success and a couple of years later he is in their fraud show and on his way to jail. At one point he was successful but not enough to maintain the appearance o

Bill would allow N.C. lottery winners to remain anonymous
Anonymity is not going to hurt sales nor will it stop fraud. By the way, as few large jackpots that are won in individual states as there are, they can't tell me that an investigative/audit branch of that particular state, can't take a look at the records of the few winners each year for verification of a ticket by someone who is authorized to claim their winning.
Really ?? REALLLLY ???
Sorry Lottery Reps, that doesn't fly with this participant. Allow the option

It's time the lottery needs to stop releasing a person name and picture when a big win is won!
The paranoid fear of lottery fraud doesn't trump a winner's right to privacy and personal safety.
Allowing winners to remain anonymous means the state lottery will not publish the name and address of winners, but because the lotteries are public entities, the information may still available through the state's public service laws. The Freedom of Information Act only applies to the Federal Government. Most lotteries share the information with other state agencies like courts, departments of

Don't put words in my mouth and I'm particularly offended by your dishonest misrepresentation of what I wrote. You don't care about fraud, just as long as you want to protect against something that hasn't happened in over half a century and not even in this hemisphere. Yeah, that's a good idea and exactly the kind of emotional argument and hyperbole I was talking about. You're the first strawman drama queen I think I've ever seen on the 'net. You've sure changed your tune in just a matter of a f

China's beloved national lottery suspected of massive fraud
Surprised to read that China has a national lottery but not surprised of the allegations of massive fraud.
Do they still have those empty cities that they built after pushing the poor folks out and these folks cannot afford to live in these boondoggle cities.
They are not the smartest in dealing with capitalists ideas because of their collective mentality of their modern history.

Clocks and Democrats.
I agree.
Also make sure to check your votes as many have complained that the computer at the voting booth changed their votes to their Democrat opponents. There hasn't been a single issue in which a vote for a Democrat was intentionally switched to a Republican candidate.
If this fraud is true it could be the October/November surprise many liberals have been touting.
