Commission feeling the heat as outcry over high salaries continues
The audit committee of the Arkansas Lottery Commission decided Wednesday to recommend a national survey of salaries paid to lottery auditors before setting pay for the person to be hired as internal auditor of Arkansas' lottery program.
The panel agreed it would recommend the commission ask the Bureau of Legislative Research conduct the survey. Internal auditor is one of two lottery positions for which the commission is dir

Yukon lotteries go under microscope
Lottery operations in the Yukon are currently under review, in the wake of similar probes in other Canadian provinces, but Yukon lottery officials foresee no problems.
The Western Lottery Corp. has hired Ernst Young to audit its operations, which include those in the Western provinces and the Yukon. A final report is expected by late September.
The audit will examine, in part, how many lottery retailers are winning at games for which they sell the tickets something Yukon Lottery Commis

Legislators grill Ark. lottery financial officer
The Arkansas lottery's chief financial officer said Wednesday that a $90,000 tax penalty probably resulted because of a data input error, though legislators remained puzzled over how the lottery's director wasn't told of the problem for more than three months.
Lottery director Ernie Passailaigue told members of the Lottery Oversight Committee that he was disappointed he wasn't told of the Internal Revenue Service problem until long after it had emerged.
The IRS assessed the penalty because

Arkansas lottery director up for review for first time
The director of the Arkansas Lottery, who oversaw its successful launch but has had a series of high-profile flubs, will receive his first employee evaluation Wednesday when the Arkansas Lottery Commission.

About those NC Digital Online Games...What's the verdict?
states should audit lotteries for excessive operations costs and excessive salaries, but never for paying out too much in prizes. without attractive prizes nobody would play these dumb games. giving back us fools some of what we wasted on the lottery is why we keep coming back for more.

Another straight Pick 4 repeat a few days apart? Whew! That's crazy unlikely. I feel sure the lottery folks will have somebody audit their equipment and practices just to be sure. I mean, clusters do happen, but that one is pretty hard to believe.

You are right Highly Favored, this whole system is rigged, there is no way trips haven't dropped in almost 4 months, certain pairs and numbers are way overdue, I notice she is dropping the trips in cash 4 and GA 5 to look like she did drop some trips and make it look good in the audit reports, certain digits are not dropping is ridiculous, I also notice those 9 also in night draw are over due.

Did he collect loser scratcher cards at the same time he bought winner scratcher cards? If so, he would have of had boxes full of loser scratcher cards to pass a tax audit.

Which is correct tinker you only pay taxes on any 1 single prize 5000 or more...I was taught that long ago thats why I play all my pick 4 tickets. 50 cents not a dollar..it is income but its not the threshold to file taxes..if you have a job and make less then 5000 for the year you don't have to file taxes at all but the part about claiming your losses is true you can claim as much as you lose but have proof if you give a crazy number and they audit you..

Gaming board tracks down Las Vegas tourist after slot machine failed to inform him of jackpot win
w-9 form. I hit in Atlantic City back in 2001 on my sisters bday. w2 is work , w9 is gaming. Atlantic city also stopped years ago with coins, they use a coupon ticket to cash out. that is actually smart to do. I guess when they audit machines they can track things. Look at where were all headed into. the future of payouts.
