Message to Ohio Lottery players
It didn't make any sense for a state to join only one multi states lottery game. For example, the Ohio can either have Big Game MM, or Powerball. The system is there, the only different which sever is going to accept the order. You can choose your cable/utility company, but why not the multi state lottery game? Also, who decide which multi game to join, the players or government? But who actually play the game, the players or government? The oligopoly of a particular multi states lottery games redu

My numbers
Yes, NJ has a Lotzee. Only a handful of lotteries sell this type of game (in fact, MUSL ran a multi-state game similar to Lotzee.) There are major differences between Super-6 and Lotzee-type games; the most important is that Lotzee is a niche type game, while Super-6 is a jackpot driven game. With a jackpot-driven game, you need a larger player base. Super-6 does not appeal to players who want to pick ALL their numbers. PA players will welcome being able to pick all their numbers (if the

MUSL "Hot Lotto" $1.7 million ($930,000 cash) Saturday 5/4
The Super-6 game was created in 1998, long before PA was given permission to join a multi-state game. The jackpot odds are VERY long for a single-state game- 1 in nearly 40 million. This game was designed to build large jackpots, and, PA figured it would be hit less often if players could not choose all the numbers. This is the _only_ US jackpot game with automatic quick-picks. When PA joins Powerball this summer, it will no longer need Super-6 to build big jackpots. The right thing for PA would

payments
Dear Ruthy: I live in Westchester County, NY. I haven't bought tickets in PA in nearly 2-1/2 years. You've probably noticed the Super-6 game lets you choose only ONE-THIRD of the numbers on your ticket. This game needs to be changed, or replaced with a multi-state game. The PA Cash-5 is a good game, however. NJ is a much better lotto state, not just because of Big Game , but because Pick-6 Lotto was greatly improved last year with the addition of a 3# prize, and the elimination of their 5-dig

Ohio needs Big Game (or Powerball)
The Ohio Lottery is seriously considering offering a multi-state game. Let's hope so-the Ohio (Stupid?) Lotto gives players almost a Hobson's choice -30 annual payments, or, a cash option which cheats lump-sum winners out of their full winnings, since Ohio uses a different percentage rate for cash and annuity winners. (See the Ohio Lottery website.) Presumably, if Ohio joins Big Game, Powerball, or a proposed joint game with Pennsylvania, winners choosing cash within Ohio would get the same cas

Pick 4 & Pick 3...Week of 12-02 thru 12-08
Hey everyone! I'm gonna try my hand at p4 triples.....don't hold me to this.... Based upon what I've seen in the 'search past results' area, the following p4 triples are the most due for the next 7 days: All of the credit for this is going to Laverne Maloney, because, she wrote about 'states and dates'. I'm 'feeling' that in p4 we could very well see the following triples this week: 000X 111X 222X 777X You can play around with the fourth number in your own workouts. I'm go

Multi-state lottery game comes to Arkansas
After a false start, Decades of Dollars finally lands in fourth state By Todd Northrop In January, a new multi-state lottery game called Decades for Dollars was introduced, and was intended to be offered in the state of Arkansas, but legislative obstacles stopped the plan dead in its tracks at the time. Now those issues have been cleared, and Decades of Dollars has landed in the state three months after the game's first drawing. Starting Tuesday, May 3, tickets for Decades of Dollars

Gaming the lottery was this couple's retirement plan
Gerald Selbee broke the code of the American breakfast cereal industry because he was bored at work one day, because it was a fun mental challenge, because most things at his job were not fun and because he could because he happened to be the kind of person who saw puzzles all around him, puzzles that other people don't realize are puzzles: the little ciphers and patterns that float through the world and stick to the surfaces of everyday things. This was back in 1966, when Jerry, as he is kno

Mega Millions lottery tickets double to $2 starting in October
Game matrix also changed to increase jackpots Five years after Powerball lottery ticket prices were increased to $2, the multi-state Mega Millions game is following suit. Mega Millions lottery tickets will increase from $1 to $2 later this year, and the odds of winning the jackpot will decrease, according to a measure adopted Monday by New York's lottery regulator. The move is meant to boost headline-grabbing jackpots for the multi-state lottery game, which is offered in more than 40 st
