Office Pool Lotto Questions
There are good reasons to avoid pools, but fear of a lawsuit isn't one of them. If you do get sued, congratulations. You'll almost certainly never be sued unless you win a sizable amount. That means you're a winner. Other than never winning, you can't do anything to guarantee that you won't be sued, but you can make it unlikely and you can make it a virtual certainty that you won't lose. There are really only two issues to be concerned about. One is who is a member of the pool, and the other is

Texas Woman Sues Over Winning Lottery Ticket
According to the lawsuit, Domingo agreed to join the pool and asked how much she owed one of the women, but was told the amount had not been determined. One woman promised to buy Domingo's portion and let Domingo pay her later, the suit states. That's the old scam of coming up with money to join a lottery pool after it wins. A person who wanted to play in the winning lottery pool always has an excuse for not actually paying to be in the pool and think that excuse should entitle them to sha

MM Drawing for Friday 02-25-05
In 99 of the last 273 drawings, all the winnings numbers were in a pool of numbers from the previous 16 drawings which had 36-46 numbers. There are 37 numbers in that pool tonight and using past history I calculated the chances of the winnings numbers being in this pool as follows.5 numbers 36%4 or more 73%3 or more 94%2 or more 99%*1 or more 99.9%* the only way to get a true 100% is to include all 52 numbers. I will be picking my numbers to play from this pool. Good luck MegaMillion players.R

Need advice
Rose: If your pool had won a jackpot, I would have hated to hear of each of you having to receive annual payments. If you ever play in a pool again, you should make sure the pool is for CASH/LUMP SUM unless there is a unanimous vote for the annuity (of course, someone wanting lump sum shouldn't be in an annuity-only pool).

Has anyone tried a Lottery Pool?
With the MegaMillion jackpot getting near a $100M, now is the best time you will have to convince your friends and relatives to start a pool. Write down some kind of contract, so everyone in the pool is clear about how the pool works and who is entered. It doesn't have to be a long term pool, it can be until this jackpot is won. Good luck to you.RJOh
