Dang NC - Finally
I fled North Carolina years ago -- too numerous to mention -- because it was too conservative, a little backwards (according to the northern progressive cities). Now, some of the religious zealots and others want to protest or file charges against the governor. In either case, the protestors have their right. However, why are most of them so adamantly opposed to gambling? Do they have the same religious fervor about the seven deadly sins? I do not want to get off on a religious soapbox. Neverth

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
I hope she does drop it. PB deserves a nice shot across the bow as protest against their backroom ripoff shenanigans. It will probably encourage other states to do the same, and send waves of fear through the PB cabal. To the people who say Oh no, I will have to go somewhere else to get my PB ticket , it is easier to understand if you consider current PB and new PB separate games. Do you really like the new game? Current PB is ending. CT didn't agree to new PB. lt should be considered a brand

Texas Pretest ?Question
We (Texas) get 4 (sometimes 5, if 1 number comes out too many times) before each draw. Do other states have THAT many? That equals to at least 60 drawings a week and rotation of, currently, 8 ball sets. A year ago, they were rotating 17 ball sets. geez! The players have tried to contact their Representatives/Senators in protest to Lotto, to NO avail. Lotto has been changed about 3 times (maybe more...lost count), during the years, and sales have fallen drastically. But, THEY know best.....

Reduction Methods
definitely not something to make you buy more tickets, but something to use as a loose guideline... I still just play one ticket.... still no jackpot.I use excel for keeping track of the draws, the white balls are separated into separate columns so it is easy to check observed ranges at a glance. I have the same type of sheet for the 6/49 Match6 (for kicks, I don't play it tho, doing my part to protest PA low jackpot $2 tickets...) and it is the same thing, the draw history when sorted has a def

Do you live in Hawaii?
Don't forget you can buy season tickets in the Massachusetts State Lottery from Hawaii, and they make perfect gifts. If you live in Hawaii and want a state lottery, this is a great way to make your protest. One reason that Tennessee established a state lottery was because many people were buying tickets in other state lotteries - voting with their pocket books.10. QUESTION: Can non-residents play the game?10. ANSWER: Yes, anyone 18 and over can purchase any Lottery product at any agent location

Paul's lottery past: rocky beginnings, happier endings
It's only in hindsight that critics of Rebecca Paul's lottery startups give her creditRebecca Paul's admirers outnumber her critics by a long shot in Georgia's capital city. But the critics were hot when Paul was starting the state's lottery in 1993. Ten years later, Tennessee has hired her to do the same thing for up to $752,500 a year.Georgia's lottery drew close scrutiny from state lawmakers and federal prosecutors after awarding a key startup contract to a vendor whose bid was millions of dol

Minimum age to purchase lottery tickets
Well you may have a point but I hate to say this but Age-Restrictions concerning teenagers isn't HIGH on the List of Priorities as far as the President or the local Government is concerned. If your really that concerned about it then write your Congressman and I'm quite sure he will tell you the same thing it's not an important enough issue compared to the Unemployment situation,Warin Baghdad,Aids,Drugs in America and People without Health Coverage.I understand where your coming from I use to fee

Computer vs. Bingo Ball games
Win$mith,I have the demo of LottoPro 2003,what drawbacks are you referring to? This is a pretty good program once you figure out the best and most efficient way too use it.I always test programs before I decide too buy,to make sure they can peform the functions I need or provide me with the appropriate tools.I did a test run for FL Pick-3 on 4/26 and the program produced a straight hit ( 778 ).These are the settings I usedfor the Smart Pick function I selected 10 draws for Hot Number cutoff,60 d

Protest Changing the Big Game!
Greg,I also was alarmed when I saw that. The odds are already 70 million to 1. What they are trying to do is create mega jackpots. Why? So one person eventually may win 500+ million dollars...so what? That's one person who becomes overly rich and the rest of the players are losers. They will soon learn the folly of their ways when people just stop playing the game. The higher the odds are in the game, the less the payoff-to-odds ratio. Non-parimutuel Pick 3 is the best game available to the play
