Can prayer affect the outcome of a lottery
God's motives are his own, no way to know anything there.
As to God's angels, you can pray to them all that you want, it will do you no good, they won't do anything on their own, they do as they are told to by God.
As to Satan and his angels, Satan does what he wants to do if he is permited to do so by God.
He once fought Michael for Moses' dead body and lost, so it can be said that God didn't let him take it.
You can pray for money all that you want to, but as jackpots are few and f

Nebraska lottery equipment upgrades coming soon
This summer, the Nebraska Lottery will be upgrading equipment at over 1,150 retailers, providing several benefits for lottery retailers and players.
The centerpiece of the conversion is the new Altura GT1200 lottery terminal provided by GTECH Corporation. The Altura is state-of-the-art technology, making it faster both for the clerk in selecting transactions and printing Lotto tickets. Each terminal will be connected via secure satellite or 3G wireless links to the central processing system.

Toronto janitor claims share of $50M lottery jackpot
A Toronto man has claimed his share of a massive $50 million lottery jackpot, four days after the ticket he purchased at a downtown newsstand was declared a winner.
John Addo, who came to Canada from Ghana 20 years ago, picked up his cheque for $16.6 million on Tuesday, saying he was too overwhelmed to claim his prize immediately.
When I gave the retailer my ticket and she told me how much I won, I went into shock. I immediately went straight home and lay down for awhile to think about it

New National Game - What Should It Be?
Since the odds of winning any jackpot are so high I'd like to see a game with a lot of prop bets (proposition bets), like Odds and Evens, color of the balls, etc.....
Wouldn't be any great payoffs but would make it all more interesting and fun to play.
A national lottery game would have sweet jackpots, sure, but in ant lottery game the most common result is you hit whatever doesn't pay, 0, 1, or 2 numbers on a Pick 6, 0 or 1 on a Pick 5, etc...
So prop bets could be (assuming six balls

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Here's what would convince me of the superiority of PP's over QP's or vice versa:
If the percentage of wins and jackpots of PP's or QP's exceeded the percentage of sales respectively.
To my feeble eye, if sales are 70/30 and wins are 70/30, neither side shows an advantage.
If sales are 70/30 and wins are 75/25 however, or a comparable equation in the reverse analogy and on a consistent basis, well that would convince me.
I don't pretend to know if those figures are available or if so

Do statistics trump all other forms of math where lotteries are concerned?
Dozens, maybe hundreds of members on this site have devoted years and decades to studying lotteries and approaches to winning against them. Most evidently believe they've learned something in the process and some are sharing what they believe they've learned on this forum, the Lottery Systems Forum, the Pick 5 Forum, the Jackpots Forum, the Pick 3 Forum and possibly elsewhere.
The general methods they've developed fall into several distinct categories, some involving statistics, some involvi

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Jimmy: Every thread on the lottery systems, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Jackpots, and probably some others involves attempts by individuals to understand the universe better, whether they believe they're doing it to exploit monetary rewards by winning, or whether they're doing it for some other reason including mine. I'm aware of at least one other member who rarely plays the lottery but who has made a 20 year study of them and posts regularly on one of the forums about what she's found to be true i
