Jackpot winner!
Rollovers, after $40-50M are self defeating. They take money out of the population pool and put it all in one pool. Reducing every ones odds for winning. More lower jackpots.

Oil company employees win $54 million Canada 6/49 lottery jackpot
At least the pool was clear about who was in the pool from the get go, every member threw in $20 and it didn't include any co-workers that had intentions of contributing a couple of dollars in the future if they won.

Lottery fever erupts across Canada
Yes, 17 people shared the prize, but for the last few months, 18 of them were in the pool, however one guy was on holidays so he wasn't in that draw. I hope they still give him something since he was a member of their regular pool. RE: Loonie/Toonie. The $1 coin is the Loonie - The bird on the back in the water is a Loon. The $2 coin was first issued several years later, and although it has a polar bear on the back it is nicknamed Toonie.

Is Match 5 Bonus Prize a BIG MISTAKE ??
If nobody wins tonight, Saturday's jackpot will be $365 million, and the bonus pool will continue to receive all the excess money that would normally go to the jackpot. Also, if nobody wins tonight, all second-place winners tonight will get the normal $200,000 payout. They only pay the bonus pool to second-place winners in a drawing in which someone wins the jackpot. It continues to build until that point.

A Question for some Old Timers
I had suggested this type of pool a while back and got very little interest. There are some simple rules that can be used to prevent or limit members's ability to cheat. I called the pool the 500 Group and it would be used once the jackpot reached $500 million. My previous suggestion was to only post 5 numbers (one line) per member and then the member buys every Mega ball for that set of 5 numbers.Based upon past responses I am not very confident that there are enough LP members to get a group of

B.C. lottery officials extend deadline to settle fight over jackpot
The court awarded the money to the original nine members of the pool since there was no proof that the other girls paid for any tickets. Now two of girls say they were asked to participate and intended to pay for their tickets later after the they were purchased when they had some money. Other employees testified that was never the policy before and they accepted that they did not pay this time and they were not in the pool this time. Powerball lottery jackpot climbs to $167 million
It will be tough for Powerball to ever get as high as Mega millions can, Powerball has a cap, the jackpot will only go up $25mil MAX at a time no matter how many tickets are purchased when it reaches what they call a record amount . The excess money goes in a match 5 bonus pool to be divied up amoung all match 5 winners when the jackpot is won. so when someone hits the jackpot, everyone who matches all the white balls without the powerball get their $200,000.00 plus an equal share of the bonus

nnothing, are you crazy...you make the weirdest posts.Jorli, Zach wasn't too enthused when I took him in the neighbors pool...but he didn't object. Next year I think he will have a good time. My other daughter lives in our old house and we had a pool so Lance gets to swim all summer and he is like a fish.......Bob, I envy you.....wish I could get away and do that. Used to when the kids were young but Billy doesn't go for that kind of thing....he likes his shower and recliner too much...lol
