im not a ruthless enough jerk to get ahead the traditional way. i came up with a plan to buy the min entry in every draw my town plays. and ive been doing it for over a decade now. some games only have 1 mill as prize, some jackpot to $50+ mill. anything would be good. id retire on $1 mill, and have to watch my budget, or anything more id have play money. i figured whatas the chance that the time i actially play my numbers when the pots high are the ones they come up? they could come up any draw

Winning Lottery is so freaking hard
Ya Jag it is tough, especially if you're playing PB or MM. Unless you have a hefty lotto budget, or are part of a lotto club you're gonna have many such frustrations. I usually avoid those games until the JP exceeds a quarter billion and then I'll get caught up in all the hype. Have you played any of the smaller state or regional games? They offer you much better odds to at least win something, which then gives you more confidence to keep playing. For what it's worth my strategy is pretty sim

El Gordo
You are correct and I would be on the side of the IRS on this one. One can avoid ongoing income taxes, gift taxes, etc. The initial state, federal, municipal taxes will apply. As well as that first year of additonal taxes on that winfall as it as you say will take a few months to process citizenship. The Federal government will view this as a blatant attempt to evade taxation and as such milk every dime they could. To give up citizenship to avoid taxation is extreme unless you always wa

So you wake up Thursday morning and realize you are the sole Powerball Winner!!
Well first thing i would do is contact a lawyer and a financial advisor. I would do everything in my power to remain anonymous, and after claiming my prize i would make sure that most of the money is in a safe, low interest investment spread across various financial institutions. My parents would have access to any funds they need and they would retire somewhere tropical. I would set aside a little bit of fun money and travel the world with my girlfriend. The vacation around the world would take

You can never get enough sleep. I would suggest that being such a beautiful day, that you retire now. Sleep does wonders for your mental health as well, and we all know how important that is these days. Sleep long and well my friend.

I bought my Powerball tickets in Iowa, why didn't I win?
Which powerball jackpot is enough for thrifty to retire $40M, $50M, $60M, $70M, $80M, $90M, $100M etc.? These powerball jackpots build up so fast by increasing $10M per drawing that I am running out of money to play. It isn't bad to dream about winning $40M on powerball for $2. Are you playing powerball? I might win any jackpot amount over $40M someday. lol, lol, lol
