luizgota,
Thanks for your support! You've helped me make a decision.
This post answers your question about me and the markets.

What do you trade?
You're so right in your take on the contribution of psychology to beliefs here in Patterns and the Systems to detect them. Even if there are in fact anomolies created by unscroupulous IT people or Ball Machine Techs, the methods being employed to find them have about as much chance of suc

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
RL,
Thanks for you explanations.
I guess it does take some time to grasp the system and be able to use its potential to the full.
As to hitting a jackpot, I think it's kind of a luxury problem. Our old days when we were young will never come back, jackpot or no jackpot. The money won could be put to so many uses, depending on what's important to us.
Btw jackpots here are not that impressive. For instance the max. you can win in pick-5 is ar. US 70,000 as there is no rollover. Only 3

Does anyone here actually turn a profit in the long run?
Luminus,
To most people lottery means a big jackpot, a life changing amount of money won.
Considering the odds of hitting opne of those jackpots I think RJOh described it pretty well when he said the losses are the cost of the chance of winning millions.
While it certainly would be nice to win a jackpot, going into playing lotteries with an unrealisitc expectation of winning only sets a player up for disaapointment.
Never let the hope of wining turn into a prison of expectation.

As far as who is insulting who just conisder jarasan's last two posts right after yours. (YES but you and especially viosndude have made negative comments maybe not on the same level as the opposition but the feeling is there on what you guys think about self picks)
I don't see the QP crowd doing that, or saying that the self pick players are lazy or any such thing. (they are saying self-picks via system and strategy is foolish,a waste of time, doesn't work that's an INSULT too th

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
You can sue anybody for any thing. Fill out the papers and pay the fee, and the process starts.
The real question is will the suit be dismissed quickly or will it continue? What *exactly* would you sue the lottery for? Not being able to generate every possible combination isn't a cause of action in itself. OTOH, if the lottery claims that the RNG generates random combinations and it doesn't* there might be a cause of action. If they know it can't generate them all they may be committing fraud

Since you specifically picked out the Illinois Little Lottto, go to the Pick 5 Forum, Illinois Little Lotto Jackpots 2010, see what wins most of the time.
The first page has the results for 2008 and 2009, or you can search those threads also to track the results drawing by drawing.
Persoanlly, especially considering Pick 5 jackp[ots, I'd rather throw a buck or two a draw at it, or maybe $1 per $100,000 when it starts getting pumped (It's been over $1,000,000) than to consistently bet $30 t

For the average player winning a $3-$7 prize for every 20 PB lines played isn't worth bragging about but to a system player it would prove he was on to something
now this is what i am talking about.
i was never talking about large winnings as proof , but rather being able to demonstrate a person can show they can extract consistent profit out of the game.
all any skeptic like me is looking for, is for someone to show they really can manipulate an outcome into their favor.

Is There Any Way To Predict Pick-5? Past Performance is "Gamblers Fallacy"
Thanks for the compliment.
I think I should add a few things to what I wrote earlier. First, I track Take5 numbers because I think they're fascinating and I enjoy doing it. I know. I'm weird....
Secondly, I only play what I think I can afford to lose and no more. That's maybe 10 to 15 bucks a week. That's because I know the lottery is a sucker bet. That said, there have been quite a few suckers that are very glad they bought a ticket. I see no reason why I couldn't or shouldn't be a suck

Rockwell is spot on. There absolutely are discernable patterns and trends.
I keep an Excel spreadsheet of NY's Take5 (5/39) drawings. It has a rolling 365 days of drawings on it. Each day, from the previous nights drawing I add the winning set of numbers, and delete the set of winners from the oldest drawing from a year ago.
Here are a few things I've seen on that spreadsheet:
75% of all drawings have a single digit number in the first position.
82% of all drawings have a number in t

Why do people play QP's?
I gave several reasons why people play QP's without mentioning home grown numbers.
Here they are again:
