$260M Ohio Powerball lottery winner claims jackpot anonymously
Uses blind trust to keep privacy
The holder of Ohio's first Powerball jackpot prize ticket came forward Tuesday to claim the $260 million prize in a blind trust.
The drawing for the $260 million jackpot was Wednesday, June 2, and the winning ticket was sold at Hub Carryout in Sunbury.
George M. Hoffman, of Columbus, is trustee of The 2010 Blind Trust and made the claim on behalf of the winner at Lottery offices in Cleveland.
The holder of the ticket chose the cash option for this jac

Why do people play QP's?
There you go again, same old story, same old talking points, a broken 78RPM frinking record. The pragmatist, the realist, the logical, let me tell you How it really is . The person that was chanting burn the witch in the 1600's Salem, Mass., the person that taunted Michelangelo the rock is a gonna breaka! , the person that stood on the beach laughing at the Wright brothers, the person that screamed at the TV the moon is made of cheese! when JFKennedy said we are going to the moon. Praying?
victorl3ichiban,
It happens sometimes, and a few of us have threads I wish I didn't start files, or threads that just go down rabbit trails . If you go chasing rabbits....
One time I started a thread (I'm not even going to bring thre topic up so as not to hijack your thread) and in the OP of that thread I asked a question using the word obligated . Big boo boo, that became the focus of the thread nd the discussion was tantamount to going frm New York to Boston by way of Phoenix.

Pennsylvania Mega Millions lottery sales falling short of target
I agree. Super 7 wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Mix n Match was another dud...$2.00 for a draw that sometimes never broke $100,000..At least Cash 5 has better odds, better payout and only for a dollar.
Too much Gus.... snip rodent.
Plus they have alot hi way bill boards with PB and no MM.
In addition, I think that the MM has been won more often since it hs been added, causing the JP not to rollover like PB. I like MM, it has better odds (although astronomical) plus the se

What do you people think of this??
Buying more than 1 ticket with the same numbers doesn't increase your chances of winning
but if it's the winning numbers you would get more of the prize.
Not in this game.
The jackpot is $350,000 cash. Have 10 winning sets get $3,500,000.
Guaranteed to 20 jackpots, after that it goes parimutual....
* If there are more than 20 winning plays for top prize, $7,000,000 is shared equally among winning plays.

Pennsylvania Mega Millions lottery sales falling short of target
So far, the Mega Millions lottery game hasn't been the big winner Pennsylvania Lottery officials predicted.
Lottery officials hoped Mega Millions would generate $80 million in sales by June 30, the end of the fiscal year. Sales for the multi-state lottery game with big jackpots similar to Powerball began Jan. 31.
From February through April, Mega Millions generated $26.2 million in sales. To meet the initial target, the game would have to sell $54 million in May and June.

Should I buy an online lottery system?
Thanks everyone,
I guess you are all right, now that I think about it if there was a system out there that worked then the Mega wouldn't go so long without getting hit and there would be a whole lot more shared jackpots.
I have tried a lot of crazy things now that I think about it makes me laugh. One time I got these little rocks and wrote the numbers on them. One bag for the 5 and a seperate for the bonus ball. Then I reached in and pulled out 5 rocks over a hundred times and recorded

$300,000,000 Jackpots
The only thing that affects the average value of the cash value jackpot is the odds. There is no significant difference between having 10 or 15 million players or 20 to 30 million. The chance of 6 rollovers with 10% of combinations covered is 53.1%, vs 51.2% for 3 rollovers with 20% of combinations played. Both scenarios would sell the same number of tickets, so both would result in the same cash jackpot for the next drawing. As a long term average we should expect 1 winner for every 176 or 195

Spending $20 on Scratchers
Funny, I just did this last night!
I bought 1 $5, 2 $2, and and 11 $1 scratch offs here in GA. I didn't win any cash but I did win 4 Tickets which equated to $4. Since I got $4 back, I decided to check out the GA Lottery site and found out that the majority of scratch off top prize jackpots were just about turned in.
