is it luckier to buy tickets on the rich side of town?
Just because we don t personally see wealthy people buying lottery tickets doesn t mean they don t buy them. Over three years of delivering DoorDash, I was surprised by how often I delivered soul food, barbecue ribs, and other comfort foods to some of the most affluent neighborhoods. It reminded me that many assumptions about people s habits are based on stereotypes rather than reality.
The same applies to lottery tickets. Wealthy people may buy them less publicly, less frequently, or simply

Doctors, Lawyers, and the Wealthy: Do They Buy Tickets?
Yes, they do, but in a completely different way. It is false to say that wealthy individuals or high-income professionals (like doctors and lawyers) never buy tickets, but their dynamic is distinct:
Frequency and Volume: Chronic, daily, or weekly purchases are almost nonexistent in this income bracket. A doctor or lawyer rarely stops at a gas station to buy $5 scratch-offs every day. The FOMO Effect (Fear of Missing Out):

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The Florida Lottery finally updated their weekly sales data. Their potential total sales figure comes to 379128.
One thing I saw that I hadn't noticed before was this note on the bottom of the sales update page: *Ticket sales will continue through June 30, 2026, or until 2,000,000 tickets are sold, whichever occurs first.
Uh, Florida Lottery, reality is calling...

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Can one imagine the daily mental pain and paranoia and anguish of someone who thinks the lottery is following and stalking him and his numbers? I cannot.
I hope he gets help. He should not play the lottery. A job might improve his mental state. I know desperation when I see it. Losing tickets will not pay his rent. I am sure his city must have some counseling resources to help him. He has such a sad life and on rare occasions, I feel sorry for him. But that karma bites him every time.

I know that this is technically not a lottery question, it's about PCH Sweepstakes bankruptcy .
So, Publisher's Clearinghouse had a Sweepstakes where if you win you were supposed to win millions of dollars for life through an annuity program. They even had an annuity program where when you die someone you chose as your heir, gets millions of dollars until they die. Recently and suddenly, PCH went bankrupt, leaving winners suddenly in financial ruin. One winner won the annuity Sweepstakes roughly 10 years ago and quit his job since he was promised millions of dollars until his death. He was

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
263272 tickets sold as of 5/21. Let's work this one from the back end. 640900 tickets need to be sold just to fund all prizes (so, does not includes costs incurred by the Lottery to set up the Raffle, or associated advertising, and does not include funding for education, which is the Lottery's raison d'etre.)
640900 minus 263272 leaves 377628 tickets needing to be sold by June 30, the last day to buy tickets (40 days from now.) 377628 divided by 40 equals an average of 9440 tickets need to

South Carolina man returns lost $500 lottery ticket and wins $586,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot
The owner was so grateful to get the ticket back that I knew I was going to hit the lottery after that, the winner told the Lottery. I just knew it.
Hindsight Bias - that's what the behavioral experts they call it.
Congratulations on the win

Is the Annuity payout safe?
this actually happened in illinois a decade ago. https://www.illinoispolicy.org/illinois-comptroller-the-state-will-stop-payments-to-lottery-winners-if-budget-stalemate-drags-on/
but they eventually resumed paying people. in illinois's case, it was a budget problem. in texas's case, you got a lot of cranks in the texas state legislature who want the lottery shut down all because some out of state bulk buying group won a jackpot. in any case the state will still have to pay out prizes they s

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
I can always tell the level of education of an alleged man that resents well educated women. They are resentful due to their lack of success in life.
That explains him blaming lottery officials for his being a poor lottery player. He cannot even write a sentence in the same font. There are handwriting experts who would love to analyze him.
And I got him to readily admit that he kept asking me to represent him so he is angry.
