Poll - PB & MM vs a National Lottery
cps10:
The states already get a cut in the form of grants, supplements, income taxes from Fed employee taxes, roads, police and police equipment, prisoners from mandatory sentencing laws, Homeland Security, Social Security incomes, all manner of pieces of Federal largess, aid to the arts, University grants, Federal officers.
The states can get their cut from in-state lotteries.
I'm digging in my heels on this. I ain't letting no state force its way up to the trough to swill out of no F

N.C. Lottery sales follow expected decline pattern
Not only will Powerball create more interest due to the large jackpots but, they will also have the ease of only having to establish the cards for the game to be set up.Consider that all the set-up has already been taken care of.No need for NC to do all the security, drawn machines, etc. that goes along with on-line games. You get the benefit of riding the coattails of a well established game right away.

Ticket buyers on camera ...
Since most conveinence and other stores that sell lottery tickets now have security cameras, it would be possible to see who purchases a winning jackpot ticket before it is turned in.
Most lottery systems know the exact date, time, and location a ticket is sold. The Florida lottery tickets now have the date and time down to hundreths of a second printed on each ticket.
So, by observing the ticket purchase time and the time stamp on the security camera video, it is possible they could be ma

What all this money means to ME is....
I agree with Uff Da. I chose happiness because I didn't see security as an option. All I would ever care about, besides helping other people, is having a comfortable home, a car that runs well and enough to pay my bills, a retirement plan, and a little extra for fun...and good medical care too.

one huge nationwide jackpot game
Actually Mike, I favor a National or Federal lottery. I think it would be a great idea. Someone suggested in this thread that the money be used for disaster relief...which isn't really a bad idea. But I think an even better use of the money would be to shore up the Social Security system. I think they could make that whole rotten system solvent within a few years and still have money left over to reduce the National Debt.
My problem is I'm just so disgusted with what the states (MUSL)

What all this money means to ME is....
It means infinite financial freedom, security, exuberance, and freedom of expression that was not possible prior to a jackpot win. I am now able to buy all the physical tools necessary in order to live life to the fullest and express myself through my talents without such strictly imposed financial barriers that only hinder progress.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $212 million
...or he likes the order of going to work everday...he likes the familiar. When he gets used to the money; he might decide to quit work if he has invested his money wisely. I would still work too. I 'd have more job security...wouldn't have to put with because this job is the only meal ticket...

betslips.com...900-1 payout for pick3?
Since I had a Heart Attack and Bypass 5 years ago, it feels like every medical related computer in the known universe has my social security number. It is what they type on your medical insurance card. At 64, I would be shocked to find a place that doesn't know my SSAN. As long as you monitor your financial accounts, one more organzation, should not hurt any thing.
