Maddogs "Powerball Challenge" 7/9
1-7-14-18-19-21-24-25-27-28-33-47-49-51-52+ PB: 5-12-13-16-18Caveat emptor,aye'P.S. - 15 from the 5/53 pool and 5 from the 1/42 pool is a switch. I had to go back and edit my post. In the past, wasn't it 18 and 6 respectively? No probs as long as the playing field is level.

Maddogs Mega Million Challenge 7/5
Urug,Using the last 15 drawings for Friday's MegaMillions drawing(07/08/05) will produce a pool of 38 numbers. When checking the last 312 drawings I noticed that in the past the previous 15 drawings have produced a pool of 35-45 numbers and have contained all 5 winning numbers 95 of those times so I think this time I may use all the numbers and eliminate some combinations. The last time the previous 15 drawings contained 38 numbers and all 5 winning number was 06/07/05, maybe it will happen on

Maddogs Mega Million Challenge 7/5
RJOH - just to let you know how I made out on the M.M drawing. In my initial pool (40 numbers) I hit 4 numbers: 22,38,48, 50. In my selection pool (16 numbers) I hit 2 numbers: 22 and 50. I keep saying maybe!And by the way, I also use 15 draws on my basic work sheet.

Maddogs Mega Million Challenge 7/5
RJOH:I apologize in advance for being sort of 'off-subject', but I am so astonished to find that in my final selection pool I have 16 numbers (from initial pool of 40), and they match 16 of your 18 numbers posted above, that I just have to let this be known.Most and best of luck to you and me.

Texas Lottery chief may lose job over jackpot snafu
The twice daily Pick 3 drawings are valuable for tracking, believe it or not. I use Prime Line and have found that numbers drift between the two games. They're probably using the same pool of ballsets for both games as GA does, but GA uses the same general pool of ballsets for ALL Cash 3 and Cash 4 drawings. Were you to email the TX Lottery they probably would tell you.

CA=pari-mutuel prizes for MM
ryan:I've been wondering myself. The jackpot pool is shared by the states. Most likely either 2d prize is added to 3d prize, or the entire 2d prize pool is distributed to 3d through 9th prizes.

Workers Win $15M Lottery Jackpot After Playing Wrong Game
This is one case where the person buying the tickets for the pool will be thanked for making a mistake. I wonder if they will pool money after this win and tell that person to go make another mistake.

New Game
Unfortunately, by dividing the player base into three separate games, the jackpot pool is diluted so much that the increments would be too small, and sometimes the jackpot may not increase at all. Also, I don't think the diluted prize pool could support three jackpot wins of those sizes, all on the same evening.From a creative standpoint it may be interesting, but from the lottery's standpoint it may be unworkable.

Circle of Opportunity
I don't know which pick5 game you're playing, but I play the Ohio Rolling Cash5 and the odds of having 2 of the winning numbers in one line is 1:10 no matter how you pick your numbers because you're dealing with a pool of 39 numbers. If you wanted similar odds of 3 numbers being in one line, you would have to reduce the pool size to 18 numbers or less and that's a lot of numbers to eliminate without eliminating one of the winning numbers.RJOh
