Crazy idea for city, state, and nation lottos in the US.
I've had this thought sloshing around in my noggin for a while. Hoping to plant the seed of an idea into the head of all the lottery officials out there. It's just a crazy idea afterall. My analogy is that all the multi-state lottos are like a 3rd party candidates to each other. They are competing against each other and thus keeping the jackpots low. That's my theory. They should join. There should be one nation wide lotto, available in all the states that currently have lottos anyway. This r

Sticking To My Guns
Well! - it has been a while since I checked this board after I made my first post as a new member. It appears that even in a forum that is set up for people who share a common interest --- (or obsession, if you prefer) --- one is not spared snarky comments. I refer to the various opinions on my choice to pursue the combo of '6-5-3-8' for a straight hit on New York's Win4. [See the thread Patience, Patience, Patience'.] I find that these digits do come up frequently enough --- not in any predicta

How Random is Random?
There are predictability limits, random or no random. It might be easier to tell what might not come out, than what will come out. It also has to do with the make-up of the games, take a look at the past draws and you will see what might be possible and what might not. But there are so very many possible combinations that maybe nothing will help you to win the jackpot. But people don't care, when the jackpot is very high they will buy numbers. Even most people with high powered mi

China reveals misuse of $2.7 billion in lottery funds
China has uncovered widespread misappropriation of 16.9 billion yuan (US$2.72 billion) of funds from its state lottery program, underscoring the extent of official corruption as the country tries to root out graft. Funds were misappropriated through the buying and building of office buildings and hotels or embezzled, the National Audit Office said in a report on its website. The state auditor said the irregularities accounted for a quarter of the total of lottery funds received in its 2012

Pennsylvania Lottery adds multi-state Cash4Life game
PA's portfolio is already too big. I'm sure they'll have no problem though keeping it all in order. We have way too many games right now with P3, P4, P2, Quinto, Treasure Hunt, Match 6, Cash 5, Powerball and MegaMillions. With the instant tickets and the Millionaire Raffle twice per year PA has so many choices. I believe it's too many personally. So what I don't like, I don't play. But I really wish they'd stop adding. There are so many and with not being able to cancel any tic

Are lotteries games of chance or intelligence?
I think that all or at least most people who win jackpot kinds of games win by chance, I think that is is most and not all, those who win big jackpots probably have come out way ahead of have they have spent on playing the lottery in their life-time. For most people, no matter the lottery game or games played, they all are games of chance. -------- I know somebody who doesn't have a computer and who doesn't know anything about computers, but plays the pick 3 game everyday and wins boxed
