mayhem, From your post, I remember the state of my first use EL : Inspired, I thought have finally found a good software for lotto game in the world. Diligence, almost devoted my all time to learn and master it. During about 7 years, I have made a lots of BackTests and used up the all Filters in EL4. The 10 Filters of Winning Numbers History were my favorites, especially, Joe's Number Order in Columns! But spent several years of efforts, (Please read my Posts in EL Forum if you have interesti

Lottery jackpots may get bigger
Well, whether you agree with me or not, doesn't this indicate that if there WAS shady business in the lottery office it would not have to do with the numbers, regardless if they were quick picked or picked on your own? Afterall, this alibi of yours didn't know the numbers, right? Just the state or states. How do you know if this shady business isn't actually based around the lottery's own statistical derivatives of what they think the numbers may end up being based on their own system, and knowi

Proposed Buffett Rule and How It Would Apply to Some Lottery Winners Who Invest
Buffett is a jerk who's always trying to make himself look good. If he paid his secretary in stock, she'd be paying the same rate as him but that wouldn't make a nice touchy-feely story to deflect from his fighting tooth and nail to keep from paying taxes he already owes. He's just a fraud. And when you say you want the rich to pay their fair share as obama puts it, are you saying you want them to pay less taxes? Because factually, they already pay most of the taxes paid in this country.

Lawyer gives up $14 million Iowa lottery ticket claim
I keep coming back to Shaw's statement that he was giving up his pursuit of the ticket because he didn't want to argue with the lottery . HE didn't want to argue, HIS pursuit. He didn't say he was giving up the beneficiaries pursuit of the lottery proceeds, or that the beneficiaries had instructed him to withdraw. It just smells to high heaven. And, it immediately becomes suspect, as the 2 most publicized times to claim a lottery prize are right after the drawing and right before the ticket is s

Iowa Lottery security chief bent on determining identity of jackpot winner
It's not a matter of publicizing their names. It's a matter of making themselves known to lottery officials. Their identity would still be kept secret from the public, but I have no problem with lottery officials making it their business to know to whom they're paying out money. The person needs to make themselves known. If rules were broken, in the claiming of this ticket, then that also needs to be made known. No money should ever be paid out in the event of fraud. If no rules

Irish NY lottery winner's estranged husband wants half
Had she claimed as a part of a trust or LLC, the hubby might have never had a clue (this would have also required her to actually not tell her children she won the lottery...just that they need not worry about money.). She should have just filed for divorce before even going in to claim the prize, encouraged a speedy divorce, then claimed the prize. That would be fraud. Good chance the maneuvers would cost her even more than a straight jackpot split, after the judge and lawyers got throug

Lost scratch off ticket did they know whether it is a winner or not
I wouldn't say they are deliberately holding top prizes, from the looks of things, they are only about halfway through the 30,000,000 tickets. So naturally, only about half of the 50 top prizes would have been claimed by this time. The game just didn't sell well. They wouldn't push the entire stock of tickets out to stores all at once. And they need a way to space out out winners at pseudo-random intervals. Sure, I wish they had more disclosure on the Scratch winners, but I can't push the

Lost scratch off ticket did they know whether it is a winner or not
When they scan a book, they just know it is active and the tickets authorized to redeem. I don't think it provides anyone at the lottery anything more than they already know, probably more for just for theft and accounting purposes. They know where the books went. What you could claim as fraud is if they're aware of some top and 2nd prizes being destroyed, but then advertise in the top prizes report that they are still available. That might be an angle you could try. You would have to prov

Lost scratch off ticket did they know whether it is a winner or not
When they scan the book to open it records the book number which in itself knows all the scratch off's in that book. When you buy a scartch off and you go and cash it in the store is notified it sold a winning ticket. What I do not like is the fact that the NYS lottery destroys good unsold scratch off's when a business goes under or a business is transfered. This is really what should be burning everyone up and no one seems to care. NYS Lottery has admitted that when a business is sold or transf
