How much money per week would you consider Set for Life?
I read an article where the professional golfer Phil Mickelson pays 60% of his golf earnings in taxes because of changes made to Federal, State, and local tax rates. If the same tax rates are applied to $5000 a week, net is $2000 a week and today it could qualify as set for life . But as you pointed out, prices could drastically rise and in 10 years even $5000 a week might be enough to be set for life .

Strange methods and strategies used by players
I was reading an article the other day where the writer wrote if lotteries were run like casinos, every jackpot winner would be arrested and questioned until he/she admitted cheating. Unlike casino gamblers, lottery winners are assumed honest until proven other wise.

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
http://catlin.casinocitytimes.com/article/another-lottery-question-58087
Well Tim, I'm not sure how you go about utilizing this information but it really doesn't matter. Implicit in your question is an assumption that past results influence future behavior. Sometimes, as in Blackjack, this is true. However state lotteries spend a great deal of effort and money to ensure that each draw is independent of previous draws. Thus, I really can't address your question.
Sounds like a do

Record Florida Powerball winner buys $1.175 million home
Now it sounds like they're hounding her new neighbors too. At least the one in this article had the sense to not comment, unlike her old neighbors and distant relatives who blab everything they know. Oh and that electric company worker needs to be fired for giving out customer information too.

Two tickets share massive €188 million EuroMillions jackpot
I hope to be one of them. I wonder if they have plans on how to manage huge amount of jackpot prize! They need to have financial advisor to help them with their finances. Just like the advice in one article that I have read, the winner should have a plan first before claiming his/her price so they will not end up broke after few years.

6 things to do before claiming your lottery prize
This is very informative article, I appreciate the steps that are given to guide the nouveau riche in handling their finances. At least now I know what to do before I claim my prize once I win a huge amount of prize. I should not be so excited so I can come up with a good decision.

why do black americans rarely win big jackpots
Thanks, DC fan! (Go Cowboys!) Actually, I now remember reading that after giving it a glance b/c of something Ridge said in the thread. That was about the time I first posted, I think, had been a lurker in here for quite some time. Anyway, I saw an article about her in a financial website, followed it from some other story b/c it had her photo and I got to thinking about this thread.
