Derivatives are basically insurance. They are contracts with counterparties, not the general public. Having insurance on your car or house is the same as having a derivative. If the counterparty can't pay the obligation on the contract, they default and ultimately, that's when the public gets screwed. So it's the counterparty's fault, not the instrument's. That's like blaming the toilet for overflowing when you're the one who clogged it up. Anyway, derivatives can be very useful, even for the li

Cashing in a Non-Jackpot Lottery Ticket under $600
Sounds all too familiar.
I've been denied cashing $500 tickets several times over the years. They say they don't have the money. But they are required by their lottery agreement to have money to cash $600 winners.
Each time I reported them. But was anything done? I have no idea, never pressed the issue to follow up with the lottery. Were they sent a message? A warning? What's the lottery gonna do, cancel their contract and shut them down? Ha! Hardly. Best way to deal with it is take your d

Oh Yeah My Invention!!
I am not trying to rain on your parade or be mean but most of those let us patent your invention are notorious rip offs. I trust you already obtained a provisional patent as well since you are now disclosing it to the public. If not, you are in serious trouble here already. I did a quick search and it looks like a patent was granted in 1988 for your product and they are already being sold in the marketplace.

Pennsylvania Lottery game development: Little left to chance
Standing at the vending machine or counter display, it's hard to tell which instant lottery game is the hot ticket to buy.
But to the Pennsylvania Lottery officials, every game in the display is considered hot or it wouldn't be there.
Every one of the 50 to 54 instant lottery games introduced each year receives an abundance of forethought from how it looks, how it's played and how it will be received by players.
We can't afford a so-so game, said Drew Svitko, the lottery's deputy execu

Relatives fight over estate of poisoned lottery winner
This is going to sound harsh, but, if a man who has a child, chooses to leave his business assets to his wife, then he probably had a good reason for it. He consulted with a lawyer and his business partner and this is what he wanted done. As for the wife selling her share of the business, so what? Lots of widows don't feel up to running and handling their late husband's business dealings. As long as neither the wife nor his business partner were the one's who poisoned him, then leave it be.

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
Thank you. Some constructiveness
I am hoping the electronic trail will bolster the fact that they new as well as everyone else new they were not in BEFORE THE FIRST DRAWING. And they waited until after we hit to say anything.
Personal tickets that are not divisible by 20 and the fact it can be shown that everyone had copies of the tickets BEFORE THE FIRST DRAWING should add some weight with the judge.
Plus I have proof of the turdheads fragmented participation over a 3 year period.

Has the lottery ever failed to pay annuity?
I have never heard of an official government run lottery failing to buy an annunity for their jackpot winner.
I have never heard of an annunity company failing to make payments to the winner except where the court has ordered back taxes, child support, welfare payments to be subtracted, etc.
In my opinion much of what could happen would be dependent on the contract agreed to and the official rules of that particular lottery (not the partial stuff on the website).
