How high will ticket sales be for tonights MM Drawing
I see no one took a guess. Its to early yet to see what the amount was. So whats anyones guess for Fridays drawing? Checking back on past sales theres been 2 times whan sales went over $ 200 million. March 6 2007 whan the annuity was 370 million. Sales for that drawing were 212 million and Jan 3 2011 whan the annuity was 380 million. Sales for that drawing were 230 million. With this drawings annuity being 476 million and Cash value of 341 million which im sure will go higher by Friday im guessi

Lotto tickets bought with bags of coins lead to bust in massive Metro theft
iAs far as i can see on the poweball winner sight it shows 122 winners since 2003. 117 took the cash . It shows 2 mixed where in these cases there were a huge pool of players so a few in the pool might have taken the annuity. 2 cases in 2011 show pending where 1 of tham is from Georgia which was never claimed. I only see 1 couple tho picked the annuity. So out of 122 winners dating back to 2003 it only shows 1 couple out of 122 winners going for the annuity.

Minnesota Lottery suspended during government shutdown
The annuity payments don't come from the state lottery, itself. The payments come from an insurance company (same as if you took the cash value and bought yourself an annuity).
People waiting on annuity payments will still get their checks.

Part annuity Part cash
Theres always storys about winners of large amount being broke a few years later. Say a jackpot is 80 million and the cash option is 40 million. Can a person take part of it as a annuity and part as cash? The more i read storys about people going broke and i tell myself i wouldnt be that dumb im sure most of these people have thought the same thing. If the lottery allows and i would ever get so lucky i think i might go this route.

Senior Citizens and The Lottery
I've stopped at a few different stores since I've been playing and there's rarely someone older than 50 buying tickets, usually they're in their 30s. Myself I'm in the mid-20s but haven't been playing too long.
I've read the myth that the annuity disppears with the winner but I've read on many places it won't, as well as it being discussed on the Lottery Changed My Life show. If you win with annuity and pass away then your relatives should still benefit from the annuity.

$300,000,000 Jackpots
It's hard to tell if the cross-selling of Powerball and Mega Millions tickets will increase or decrease the chances of a $300 million annuity jackpot. On the one hand, more players playing increases the chances of a jackpot being won on any given draw. On the other hand, a jackpot run doesn't have to survive as long to get to $300 million. That being said, it's more likely that Powerball will crack $300 million than Mega Millions, because of 1) the obvious - Powerball can get a larger annuity ou

powerball roll
Powerball is actually having higher rolls than Mega Millions now. Both Powerball and Mega Millions had a jackpot won on their tenth draws in their runs. Last Saturday, Powerball's cash jackpot awarded was $101 million (annuity $211 million). The Friday, March 5 Mega Millions cash jackpot awarded was $83 million ($134 million annuity). Before the games cross-sold, Mega Millions would have the higher jackpot rolls, and for most of that time, Mega Millions was the harder game to win. Now, Powerball

$325 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls again
I think you could manage at least 5% easily as long as you're not just putting in banks and earning interest that way. At 5% you could out do the annuity while not putting the entire thing in, I tested 5% over 25 years with 115M so there would be room left for the remaining taxes you'll still may have to pay, granted it wasn't all planned out and just a simple calculator with the interest/dividends compounding once a year. At 174 million though, yeah 3% would do it too but you certainly wouldn't

Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls to $120 million
I'm assuming you are talking about the cash payout amount before taxes? Personally on that much $$$ i would take the annuity because I don't know where in the H E double hockey sticks i would put 68 million dollars!! Plus I think if you get the annuity you have a better excuse not to pony up the money to everyone who asks. right now with PB annuity you would take home about 3 million a year after taxes and that suits me just fine. I love my house and have no plans to move or sell it and with onl
