POLL: Breaking the code
It's funny how, there's this idea the Lottery has a Code and if one can crack it, they control the Lottery and all that wealth -- hahaha. I don't believe nor see the Lottery as a Code to crack and if there is such a Code, it's won't be difficult to crack or see it - someone will, at least, have a clue to understanding the behavior pattern of the numbers. Here's something that really bothers me, though. The Lottery officials have the data on all the retail stores that carry their games. The

What we're up against
This is regarding Pick 6 and 5 + 1 games mostly. Consider this, there are more than 57,000 members here. Factor in inactive and what have you and let's say maybe 5 to 10 % post. Now figure most of them play jackpot games, let's say $1 a game to compensate for thos who only play Pick 3 or 4 and for those who spend $10 per drawing. (It's been said the average ticket sale is $1). Now times 104 drawings a year, times the number of years LP has been here. No jackpots. If we wer

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
In gambling cirlces such players are called grinders and are seen as no threat to the house whatsoever. If they win, they blow it back, if they lose they come back with more of their own $, but they come back. There is a gambling circle of sorts on this forum under jackpots, the MADDOG challenges. I believe they are a good indicator of predictors, a level playing field. There is also a predictions section, I don't see CToss or KYFloyd with nary a prediction on either, hmmmmm..... Inste

I see what you mean. Most winners in FL are QPs, but does that really tell us anything? It only indicates that the majority of players buy them. However, I've seen several Fantasy 5 jackpots won that weren't QPs. Is the report always accurate or is it entered manually? Florida has made so many errors over the past few years, that I believe someone might be posting the information onto the web site. Yesterday it was 50/50. The winning FANTASY 5 numbers were: 02 - 07 - 23 - 27 - 32 T

Is it worth buying a large number of tickets once a year?
I ran a similar test using the 543 drawings of the old Ohio Super Lotto Plus as a play file with the new Ohio Classic Lotto (131 drawings so far) and got the follow results. TOTAL MATCHES MATCH 0 = 31081 MATCH 1 = 29311 MATCH 2 = 9490 MATCH 3 = 1183 MATCH 4 = 67 MATCH 5 = 1

Time and the Lottery Draw - The Connection
All those variables are something to consider, but in the final analysis they would not matter if TIME is absolute - at least on this plane in our 3- dimensional reality. The changing of balls, or changing of machines may contribute to promoting randomness, but even that collapses when TIME comes into play, because all those events leading up to the draw of the ball conspire together to contribute to the balls being drawn at a certain time. TIME takes it all into account. Your comment about

FINALLY: Here's the new feature I never released
A long time ago I referred to a new web feature that I built, but was on the fence about releasing. Among the various reasons for holding off is that I was considering writing a technical article about it first, and then releasing it simultaneously. However, I have come to find that I just don't have the time, so as a result the feature has been sitting there, unused for no good reason. I have have come to terms with it, and I'm finally releasing it for you all to use. Many people will
