How much would you pay?
I would never join a pool of 100 people. Playing in a pool of 20 people is trouble enough.RJOhP.S. Maybe the question should have been How many people would you be willing to share the jackpot, to increase your chances to win? . When you ask the question How much would you pay? , sounds like you are selling something, not sharing something.

Lottery Pools - Your Thoughts??
Rules are always changing as well. Dont think we even had those rules long ago when my Husband and I had a Lottery Pool at his job as I dont recall them even having the option of Cash or Annuity back then. That was something they added years later after the Lottery started in Texas in 1992. It's been over 5 years ago that we had our Lottery Pool.

2 Russian Scientist & Japan & pi
The day someone at Lottery Post wins a big jackpot, I doubt if they will give a second thought to how they picked the winner. I know of only one person that did, he was a local car dealer who bought lottery tickets for his customers and his crew at the dealerships and after he and a pool of his crew won and split the winnings, he started buying tickets for a pool of one(himself), won again, sold his dealership and moved to Florida.RJOh

Lottery Pools - Your Thoughts??
You should have put a, used to, catagory in there. Before I retired I ran the lottery pool at work. Why not, I bought my own tickets and by belonging to the pool my chances of winning, something, were increased. Something is always better than nothing.

Lunch Ladies Share $95 Million Powerball Prize
It nice to see those lunch ladies getting along better than the hospital workers in N.J., the cab drivers in FL, the office workers in MA and the caf workers in AL. No one is asking if anyone forgot to put their quarter in the pool in time, that how a pool among friends and co-workers should work.RJOh

Wheels - Pick 7 from 27
The problem with wheels that use all the numbers in the pool is if you don't win the jackpot the prizes are usually about 1-2% of the cost to play. Using a smaller pool of numbers that you think may include the winning numbers will result in a smaller lost even if you win no prize.RJOh

Powerball Lump Sum cash amount?
I realize the lump-sum cash amount is in the neighborhood of 50% of the annuity - but it is nice to have an official number. For my pool we take that number, subtract out the anticipated tax withholdings, and divide by the number of members to give each member of the pool an idea of their take-home amount should we be the only winners of the jackpot. My members like seeing that number.

Optimum # of Previous Draws... ??
Look at it this way T.C.,Nobody can afford to empty the whole pool, so why try? The MUSL is only going to take one drop out of the pool, the player just have to come close or match that drop. With over 120M drops, you going to have to be lucky to come close no matter how many drops you select, but there is hope because there are more than 1.7M drops that are close enough to pay back 3x or more the cost of one drop.RJOh

Improved Odds To Win
Scott,Check out this link. 2 Maryland guys recently won $7.7M.They pooled their money together for years and finally won. http://www.mdlottery.com/pr2317.htmlI think pool money together absolutely increase your chance of winning. But the most important thing is the pool member must know each other well and mustbe honest and trustworthy. Otherwise you could getyourself into trouble.PZ
