Ultimate Poker to become first legal, real-money online poker site in US
But you have to be physically present within the state of Nevada to play On Tuesday, UltimatePoker.com is expected to launch what will become the country's first fully legal online poker site, with one major catch: it will be limited to those physically present within the state of Nevada. Neither the site nor state regulators have said precisely what means they will use to determine a player's location, but Nevada state officials said previously that it would be far more extensive than sim

The Powerplay Option
Boney526, Please double check my calculations. If they're correct, it seems to me that the $3 Powerplay is a better bet than the $2 ticket, especially if you ignore the 5+0 and 5+1 Jackpots. It's still not much consolation though. I wonder how many people would play Roulette if the payouts there were structured in proportion to these? As usual, choosing a payout value for the 5+1 is problematic. If they really do pay back 0.50, an adjustment would need to be made there. It's surprising th

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The whole point of the exercise was to see if strategy A would yield more jackpots than strategy B. I won't speak for BobP, but I believe his point was to show the overall effect by using all 48 numbers on 8 lines. It could be used as a betting strategy trying to win a jackpot, but it's a terrible strategy trying to get multiple secondary prize wins because two of the lines by default will never match a number. Since people have a hangup about it being unrealistic for individual players

NY Lotto adds only $300k now?!
NY Lotto had no jackpot winner, however, last time $500k was added, not $300k, and now +$600k!? It is up to $14.2m, lump sum = $9.1m. Buy $5, get $2QP. However, SM buy $5 get $3QP. Thus, Lotto 1:45m / 14 = 3.2m SM 1:3.8m / 8 = 480k; 480k x 9.1m = 4.37m x1.36 isnt much considering SM's lower prizes are higher.. As for SM vs. Take5: $1m / $50k(Take5 average) = 20; 20 x 575757 = 11.5m; 11.5m / 3.8m = 3 You are only x3 more likely to win $1m with SM than Take5; however, again

New look for Florida Lottery
The Florida Lottery used its 25th anniversary to unveil a new logo on Monday, aiming to boost the $4.8 billion-a-year gaming system that is a major funding source for Florida's schools. Lottery Secretary Cynthia O'Connell said the rebranding effort which includes a more energetic looking flamingo logo is targeted at keeping the online and scratch-off ticket games innovative and fresh. But it is also about money. The Lottery provides more than $1.3 billion a year for the education budge

Take5 NY
I think that from now on, any poster on the T5 thread need to post a 4 number potential winner. Meaning that when you post, i dont want to hear how you cant believe how many odds have been occurring. You need to post a valid four number winner. So JP when you give an alert as in 7 8 10 21 , unless you are sure that 4/5 will score, then I think you are being USELESS!!!! And if you are wrong you need to be flogged! You only need 5 numbers to win, so a 25 number wheel, leave it at home!

Why Not Converge PB and MM Into a Super Lotto For All States??
mcginnin, A national lottery may have been the plan from the get go. Read on: Lotto*America was the first lottery game offered by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It was replaced in 1992 by Powerball, which remains MUSL's flagship game. In 1987, six states and the District of Columbia banded together, since, on their own, they could not create jackpots into the tens of millions of dollars that had become commonplace in the most populous lottery states. MUSL's first game was c
