Good Samaritan may get unclaimed lotto jackpot in Spain
Includes audio report
A city in northwest Spain issued a rather unusual lost-and-found notice this week:
FOUND: A lottery ticket bought more than a year ago, which entitles the owner to an unclaimed $6.3 million jackpot.
LOST: The ticket's owner.
From its El Gordo ( The Fat One ) Christmas lottery, to the summertime EuroMillions drawing, Spain is a country obsessed with playing the lottery especially in a dismal economy.
With unemployment above 27 percent, many Spaniards fi

Meetings to take 'several days'
Includes audio report
The Iowa Lottery's security chief says it will likely take several...days of face-to-face meetings with a New York attorney and others to get all the questions answered about a winning Hot Lotto ticket.
The ticket was sent via FedEx to a Des Moines law firm and turned in at Iowa Lottery headquarters just hours before the deadline.
Steve Bogle, the vice president of security at the Iowa Lottery, says he needs to determine the c

QUARTER CENTURY MILESTONE: LOTTERY POST TURNS 25 TODAY
Computer capabilities greatly increased in those 25 years. The only thing useful I did on my 2000 home computer was to compose and print a resume, sell and buy a few things on the new fangled ebay, sign up for Paypal. For fun, I played audio CDs and the original Half Life.
My 2025 computer is used for computing, mostly. So much faster with much more memory! Way more capable than the supercomputers I programmed in the 90s.

I read a book and then won $
I have the book and enjoy reading it. It brings the Law of Attraction into perspective.
I would also recommend The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne. It's a Very Inspirational read.
I also have it on audio.
I have recommended the book to people that needed to be uplifted.
It has changed their Life.

Former lottery security employee guilty of rigging $14.3M drawing
It sounds like he may have thought he disguised himself well enough to be unrecognizable. IIRC at least one of the witnesses didn't recognize him until he spoke. I wonder if he didn't realize that his voice was being recorded too? Most c-stores here only take video not audio.
If I were going to try to pull something like this off, I'd definitely do the whole thing myself including buying the ticket. The more people that know, the more likely it is someone will blab.
I watch a lot of true c

Would this prevent you from playing?
I would not be in fear of losing friends or family either, but I also don't have anyone else to really worry about. I don't have kids so its easy for me to say. Family to me is just my mom as of now. I haven't really talked to anyone else as they have their own life and such. It used to be that we talked to family and kept up with them but they are all really weird now and self-centered, just like most people. Its not a bad thing, I just wouldn't give them money if they expected it. I would rath

Stack47 says, You knew he was deaf hoping he would complain so you could make more sadistic remarks?
WRONG!
I KNEW the narrator was Indian, did NOT know garyo1954 was deaf, and posted my audio quip based on garyo1954's earlier complaints about ENGLISH at the site.
S47 either can't read, or is breaking his record for how low he is willing to stoop to discredit someone who thwarts his and others' efforts to keep people unsure about the predictability of lotto draws.
