Store clerk accused of stealing $1M lottery ticket
I wonder if the authorities ever do sting operations on the stores, taking a winner or two in and having it checked. Wouldn't surprise me.The US Fish and Game folks did something of that sort in southern Colorado a few years ago. Opened a taxidermy shop, put the word out they'd pay big bucks for endangered critters..... a year or two later handed down a couple of hundred indictments for half the town population for answering the call.Lovely.Jack

Texas Lottery critic turns down selection committee post

Someone who doesn't have a degree, but who has at least 3-4 years experience in management, and though it's ambiguous whether the same five years executive management counts toward the swap of experience/degree, likely anyone who can satisfy the executive management requirment has been around long enough to have both. Now they just have to jump through

Oklahoma lottery commission urged to keep moving
On Scroggins' advice, the commission hired Rollo Redburn as director of administration and finance, Beverly Hughes as head of marketing and sales and Jerry Havener as operations director.Rollo Redburn doesn't sound to me like the kind of name to hang on a person who'd sit still for computer drawings. Neither does Scroggins, for that matter.Redburn and Scroggins gonna take care of those Okies, keep the balls rolling.Rollo. Hmmmm. Rollow Redburn.Jack

Oklahoma Lottery hires sales director from Atlanta
Jack,When lotteries refer to online lottery operations , they are not referring to the Internet, they are talking about any game which has tickets generated by a lottery machine that communicates with a central computer. (i.e., not a scratch game.)The term online in the lottery industry came into being long before the Internet was widely popular, and lottery industry people never changed their terminology, even after online became a term associated with Internet usage. Hence, the confusio

Full wheels?
It is easy to generate a full wheel; it is just a simple iteration. The problem is how to handle a full wheel and any operations on it, which is what a program should handle efficiently. Just try to filter a huge wheel somehow and you will understand what I'm talking about
