minimum amount of $ you need to retire
Contrary to my name i would be happy with 2 million after taxes. If i put that money into an interest earning account at 5% i'd earn around 100k per year. Of course anything more than 2 million would be more than welcome.

Greedy?
I would also have to say that one million is not enough. Most people can't even retire with $1,000,000 according to many news story that MSN has posted lately. It would a nice winfall for the time being but that isn't enough to retire. And if you could live off that million...have fun in your wooden box that you live in...hahaBrad

Beginning Jackpots...
Just got my MM tic for tomorrow with megaplier. 4 or 5 million is enough to retire on. Jackpot most definately enough to retire on. Also got a PB tic for Saturday. No powerplay. Can't retire on 1 million, or 2, but...... it would set me up and the cash jackpot of 25 million is way more than enough. For those that think either one is not enough....I'll take it in a New York minute.

I would pay off my debts, retire from my job, invest in index funds for dividends, travel, and settle down in some quiet little town and forget about everything.
