The new lure is to increase the odds of winning lower tier prizes. And people are buying them like they're gold. Go figure. You're right. Makes sense for the lottery because people are more likely to put small wins back into the lottery, while with a larger win people will use at least some of it for a non lottery purpose. I stopped buying scratchers a couple of year ago and the games have only gotten worse but people are still buying the higher $$$ tickets.

Couldn't have said it better myself. While a person who buys books increases their chances of winning a jackpot, they also increase their chances of regressing toward the mean and losing money. Unless someone is lucky enough to keep hitting $500 winners, or those elusive claim tickets, they're going to be down in the hole. I think for the average lotto player, buying one ticket here and there is the smartest way to have a chance at winning life changing money and balancing one's finance

Lottery subscriptions
If I can buy a lottery ticket when I visit a state ....legally. Why then limit mobile sales or online subscription to residents. The technology is there to geolocate where you are at the time of purchase if the requirement is for you to be physically within the state. I think it might actually increase revenue of it where possible.....I would certainly be visiting the anonymous states far more often

I'll try it, new games usually stack winners in the first few days...an increase in winning tickets to lead players to believe it's the best game. We have tons of instant ticket choices now. I wish they would have done a sum it up type add on. I wonder if the choices will change each month or if higher denominations will be added soon. Personally, I think they have too, too many games going right now.

Correct, this is indisputable evidence of them trying to generate more revenue from sales. They think lottery players are profoundly stupid, and they ignore the few who actually notice and make noise toward these types of things. Heck, someone could make a lawsuit I'm sure using evidence from the ILR showing 2 $1M prizes remaining, showcasing through a website archive that they correctly updated the page to show two $1M prizes remaining. They then later changed it back to four $1M prizes

buy 10 2 dollar tickets or one 20 dollar ticket?
I have been wondering if its better to buy more tickets for less money or 1 ticket for 20 or 25 dollars?? It seems to me that if you buy more tickets you increase your odds. At this point I would be happy winning 250.00 to make me whole again. I have spent a coupe hundred at least on scratch offs and here in central Fla seems few winners.......... so, what about buying a few 2 dollar tickets or just one of the higher priced ones?? your thoughts???

I agree. Hadn't it started going crazy when it got in the 600 Million dollar range in the past? Seriously doubt there will any increase for Wednesday and think it will be like $480 million after tomorrow. Like I've said before lottery fatigue has set in.
