Lifetime prizes
Quote: Originally posted by keystonechas on April 25, 2004No way. The name of the scratch off game is Win For Life Pa Lottery has a ticket $500,000 Cash, and its just that. CashChasi agree. if people wanted a cash prize, they would go for a game that offers the top prize in all cash. if they wanted an annuity prize, they would play a game that offers the top prize as an annuity. with some instant games that offer the top prize as an annuity, but it isn't a win for life , there should be a c

MM sets a new record
Quote: Originally posted by plnwebguy on April 03, 2004If you look at % increases though, PB is higher. It jumped from $31m to $39m or a 25% jump, and MM went from $75m to $90m, which is a 20% jump.plnwebguyI dont think you can compare the annuity rollover amounts because MM has a 26 years annuity (and hence its cash option is always higher) compared to 29 years for PB. Also you cant compare rollover amounts when the jackpots are at different amounts. Because if you look at MM's jump from $12

$239 Million Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot Remains Unclaimed
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on March 16, 2004Todd:You have VA winners having 60 days from the DRAWING in which to choose cash.CASH, that is incorrect. According to the rules of the Virginia Lottery, winners of jackpots in Virginia Lottery drawings have 60 days from the date in which they claim the prize in order to choose whether they wish to take the prize as a cash option or the annuity. If the decision is not made at the time of claiming, the lottery will hold the winnings in trust

Are Lotteries Rigged
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on December 27, 2003 I still think the biggest lottery riggers are when players are forced to receive annuity payments in lieu of a lump sum. Yep, yep, agree with you totally on that. What are the annuity holders going to do in 20 years or so when the company writing the annuity is out of business and the paper is worth nothing?? Better yet, the winner dies an untimely death, heirs have to pay inheritance tax based upon remaining years of the annutiy whi

New Jersey woman claims $12 million Mega Millions jackpot
Quote: Originally posted by Todd on October 21, 2003 Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on October 21, 2003 I doubt it, Pick-4. I'd rather pick my nose than choose annuity. I think you're taking this a bit too far. I would much rather take the annuity than pick your nose. please allow me to provide the necessary visual deterrent ; even I would pick annuity after seeing that you can pick your nose. your friend can pick his nose. but you can't pick your FRIENDS nose . your nose is so big t

A Winning Lottery System Does Exist!!
pick4, annuity is beyond help. seems his parents ground up his G.I joe in the quisenart when he was a little boy and he still taking it out on the world. i expected no less of an interpretation from him. it's just par for his course.but you ought to know me better than to infer that i was referring to my wife as a dog . if you really did, i guess your not as smart as you claim that you are and that we need to go to a master/grasshopper relationship. that is unless you prefer the company

90-year-old wins Florida Lotto
Claudine:You don't mean to say the 90-year-old man should have taken annuity, do you?I live in NY state, which STILL requires players to choose when they play instead of after they win (the $180 million MM winner/s have a 60-day window in which to decide between cash or annuity; if the winning ticket came from NY, the choice on the ticket CANNOT be changed at lottery HQ.) Furthermore, NY has a number of scratch tickets where the top prize is an annuity, with NO cash option.I cannot decide for yo

New York Lotto $43 million
CASH OnlyDid you say that someone has to win it before they can even know what the cash amount is? Did any NY lotto winner take the annuity to avoid such a low cash option? And does the NY lottery make the cash option low on purpose to get people to turn to the annuity option? After all, if you choose annuity in any lottery, whatever extra money the lottery makes on the investment after they pay you the annual installments goes back to them. So you could say that the lottery is trying to tak

The Ultimate Cash vs. Annuity Poll
Depends on the jackpot...anything less than 10 million, cash definitely...As far as Annuity, I'd take that for the powerball greater than 20 million...1. They buy Treasury Notes, any money left over after buying the annuity notes is given to the winner in the first payment.2. Willable, I have 3 kids3. I have no intention of investing with mega corps, the likes of which sent my good job out of the country to make a profit.4. After bills are paid, the rest is just gravy ;-)5. Annuity on 20 million

Take the Lump sum...not Annuity!
I can't help what someone else does with the money before I get it as long as I get the amount that I'm suppose too according to which format I choose like Annutiy .It's no different than money taken out of your paycheck before you even get it.There's nothing you can do about that either, also seeing as how my son is 10 I don't plan on waiting 8 yrs too ask him whether he wants a Lump Sum or Annual check he'll just have too accept the money the way I received it.As far as collecting on his 18th
