N.C. resident speaks out against computerized lottery drawings
You can find the breakdown of all the games for every state on the State Lottery Report Card. Michigan still uses real drawings for its Pick 3 and Pick 4 games (thank goodness), but I would be seriously worried if I were a Michigan resident. The fact that three of their games are already computerized is a very bad sign.

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
We don't need a computer to pick random numbers. We as players should be able to watch the drawings live on TV and watch the balls roll down the shute. If it becomes a computerized game, I won't play any more, the odds are bad enough now. The fastest way to bring down something good is the hire poor management, just ask employee's at Delta, United, and GM.

north carolina lottery drawings
I hope they don't go computerized.I don't think that the people in NC would trust the drawings as much as with the balls. The selection ofTom Shaheen makes me think that he will push for the computerized draws.NC probably chose him due to the low cost measures he used in other states to maximize the return to those states. They would be shooting themselves in the foot if they turn players off by not using the ball draws.

Lotto company can control lotto machine
A poll is pretty meaningless unless there is more than one choice -- it's just silly. Also, there is no mention of what the word lotto machine means -- computerized or ball drawings. The answer would be completely different, based on which one you're talking about.

computerized mega millions and powerball
It's the principle of the thing. They may be just as secure as regular drawings, but the suspense and thrill is taken away, and if you take that away, they're no fun... even WITH a big jackpot on the line.As for it already being computerized, they're not: check this out: http://www.valottery.com/megamillions/last_20.asp

N.M. Lottery posts second-best year
Yup, good analogy JS9. I remember that episode with Classic Coke well, and most of all I remember that Coke took a negative situation and turned it upside-down to make one of the biggest success stories in history.I can't wait for the day that one of the computerized states reverts back to real drawings. It will start a flood of states reverting, IMHO.

The Triples Trying To Hold It's Own!!
new york is drawn with balls.....i'm really interested as to when the last time a state had two triples in one day......computerized state is a place where they just program numbers into a computer program and each day they hit a button and it chooses a random number and that is the number of the day.i prefer ball drawings where they are televised as each number is drawn...

N.C. lottery supporters try to control expectations
i'm pretty sure from what i heard that OK might be computerized because that seems to be the thing out west.but here in the southeast ball drawings are more than likely to be used if north carolina gets a lottery......

ball drawings vs. computers
I like the ball drawings but they need to be televised or webcasted. KY's midday draw might as well be computerized since the public can't see it.
