$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
It's fine if the pool organizer spends the time on it after work. It's also no big deal if it's a government agency, since they don't do much work anyway LOL. If I ran a small business with a lottery pool, I would make the business a participant. That way, should the pool win the jackpot, the business will get a check that should more than make up for departing employees. $8 million (minus taxes) is a lot of money, but not everyone would quit their job immediately. Some people like their

Texas Lottery Commission abolished, oversight of Texas Lottery transferred
My reply to Brock was a tongue in cheek answer. But TLC and TX legislature is making a mess an even bigger mess. They effectively eliminated pool players where typically a person in charge of a pool buys tickets for the other members of the pool. The bill includes new language that prohibits the facilitation of lottery play through an Internet or mobile application, which would, by its description, broadly ban lottery couriers. More specifically, a player cannot order the purchase of a

Office Pool concept
Exactly what I was thinking! I like entries much more than buy-in! Thank you for the idea! As for the concept, you nailed it! Pool prizes are divided up amongst the participants based on their # of entries. Now, let's say hypothetically, I could get this pool really big, and I can offer even an entry for $0.01 per ticket (fraction of a ticket). Of course the prize amount will become that much smaller, but would you rather spend $2 for one ticket, or participate in this pool to get fr

T5 players in New York might be interested to know that there are still four numbers yet to be drawn in June. During most months, all 39 numbers are eventually drawn. (It does happen where a number has zero hits during any given month, but that doesn't happen very often.) Numbers 1, 2, 10 34 have yet to come out in June. It's almost mid month, so my guess is that they'll appear in the next couple of weeks. In my humble opinion, if they do hit, then they're what I call a Free Number . That me

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
Love the big jackpot. I am playing in a lottery pool. The pool greatly increases my chances of winning and the amount won is reasonable and yet still a life changing amount. Once the Mega Millions jackpot is won, the pool will start playing Powerball. Good luck everyone!

$1.55 BILLION: Biggest Mega Millions jackpot ever to be drawn Tuesday
Just the jackpot is a great option for playing in a pool. I am currently in a pool in California. I wish I could join a pool in a state with just the jackpot option and no state tax. I like that California has no state tax. Makes a big difference when the jackpot is being split many ways.

I don't believe in coincidences
The lottery is much different from a game of pool. Winning the lottery takes luck, whereas winning the game of pool takes skill. Whyyy, I begz the differ Serh.. Being that BoTh Gamez requirez skillz in Math ! So, you either learn to skillfully read the Statz, ... or the Table..!! Whether you 9 to the 8 combo a Game winning Pool shot ... or use a Lotto Game winning 5 or 6 pick combo, to git a shot at spendin dat JaCkPoT . .. -Stat$talker

Here's some math to entertain you..... If $197458 is 62% of the winning prize pool, then $318,480 is the total amount in the winners prize pool. If $318,840 is in the winner prize pool, then $636,961 was yesterday's total sales of Florida Fantasy5. ($318,840 is 50% of the days Take, or sales) Florida Fantasy5 sales everyday is in the $600,000 to $700,000 range. I have seen some $200,000 and up jackpots. Those mostly happen on Fridays and Saturdays. G5

Does anybody here play lottery pool?
I do the pool on The Lotter's TX site (I'm in Texas) when Mega Millions is high enough and definitely when PB is high enough. I like how they have pools where you can buy shares . MM pools there are 50 shares (they buy 20 lines), and PB are 85 shares (They buy 150 lines I believe). I usually buy 6 shares for MM pools when it's high enough (so if/when we win, I get 12% of the jackpot), and 2 shares of PB when it is very high (2.3% of the jackpot). (The PB shares cost more, so I wait until it is V
