A small part of me wants to think that interest will wane with the lack of a winner. Then I slouch back into the reality that the only force in the universe more powerful than stupidity is greed. Could the increase be double what it was between draws? Yes, I do believe so. Last draw it went up from 650 post-draw to 950 pre-draw. I see this JP becoming $1.9B before draw time on Wednesday.

Well LottoLucy, I think that is fair and sound advice. So I am going to listen to you . As iterated, States CAN and DO increase there own Income taxes., so there is that to contend with. Correct, If no budget is passed, the yearly check just sits there...gaining interest for them . I encourage those of sound mind and good budget skills to take on the funds entirely. Have a vault built if need be.

we now have THE biggest lotto jackpot in US history on our hands. Not yet we don't. Right now all we have is a record for the biggest advertising hype about a lottery jackpot. The real record is the MM jackpot that paid out $474 million as a cash jackpot. In order to set a legitimate record for the biggest jackpot we'll need to see an increase to about $775 million as the advertised jackpot. There's a very good chance that will happen, but it's not guaranteed.
