Markov Chains in Lottery Games
Yes, you're right I made an incorrect statement about the likelihood of followers. I Googled on 'sample and population'...it's now more clear to me
For pick 3 a balance is faster restored than for a lottery game like Power Ball == In another post you stated it's all about timing. How many pick3 results did you test to calculate the followers probabilities and were you able to track the increase/decrease (differences) of the probabilities of the digits?
For example you have 10.000 pick 3

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
What do you mean by lowered the requirements for Bluebird Liquor? I've always found it interesting people going there when jackpot fever hits and wait hours and hours in line to play their own numbers.
Here is something interesting that I've noticed with regards to high jackpots on Mega Millions and Power Ball. Back when Mega Millions (MM) was the only multi-state game in California, it was unusual when the jackpot hit $200+ million (this was before they modified the game to make it harder t

logistic mapping
I saw the equation before but not in context with logistic mapping. It was applied more to population increase/decrease.
So.......
If we were to substitute the first digit of any 5/39 lottery drawing for X and did some iterations, would the next drawing's first digit be found within, say, the first five iteration?
I will have to program this into the computer and see just how many iterations must be performed before there was a match between the two drawings.

Pennsylvania House passes bill giving Lottery odds and prize flexibility
The Pennsylvania House has voted 195-1 to send to Gov. Tom Corbett a bill that Pennsylvania Lottery officials say will give them more flexibility in setting player odds and prizes, increasing sales in the long run.
But that flexibility is paired in the bill with a new requirement that the General Assembly have final approval over any Lottery plans to add new game categories like Keno or Internet-based games.
The latter clause, added by the state Senate earlier this fall, was a response to

New Systems Forum just based on real stats and facts!
I don't subscribe to 'PRIOR' which is a central theme of BAYESIAN Statistics. Bayesian stats depends on large historical data, 'adjusting probabilities' with increase size of data, I am not comfortable with this approach, first you need much large data , second, the ideal of history repeating itself when conditions are different does not appeal to me(my opinion). I did this workout to explain the concept of recurrence to create PREDICTION POINTS in a very simple way by using HISTORICAL draws. I

Am I psychic...or not? Help me!
I read your post a little earlier, increase, and saw 71 when reading your words.
But I thought that may have been because I just had given that to Pildriver so I turned off the computer, had dinner, did some dishes (okay and watched a little Starsky and Hutch) then came back here right now with a clear mind.
And when I stared at your words I saw 71 come to mind again!
So 71 it is. Hope that helps you out!!

Big reduction in PB cash value
Has anyone else noticed a big reduction in the cash value of Powerball? When the jackpot had annuity of $127 million, the cash value was $77.3 million.
The following draw the annuity went up $22 million while the cash value gained $13.4 million making it $90.7 million with an increase of 60.9%, the upcoming drawing raised the annuity $22 million up to $171 million but the cash value added $11.3 million to sit at $102 million thereby only increasing 51.3%.
How can the percentage change be s

NJ Cash 5 game to get larger starting jackpot
NJ Cash 5 game to get larger starting jackpot
Oh, you want an extra $25K to start? That'll cost you an increase of nearly 300,000 possible combinations.
It might make the game roll longer but this is no benefit to the player at all.
