Lottery-winner secrecy bill dies in Idaho Senate
You do get to decide. Going public is only mandatory if you buy a ticket and claim a prize, so you're always free to remain anonymous right up until you decide not to.

Remaining anonymous
Here is my opinion of remaining anonymous...............if one is so concerned about remaining anonymous, don't play the lottery !
I think it really helps lottery sales and builds bigger jackpots whe the names and stories....ARE...made public.
If I win, I won't even get an unlisted land line.
My answering machine recording will change ,though.
It will say................. Yes, you have reached the lottery winner. I am much too busy counting my money to answer or return your call

$403 MILLION: Red hot Powerball jackpot rolls again
Remember the Iraqi's who won Mega Millions in Oregon using one of those services? Going to have research to see how much they won. They were able to keep it anonymous due to the high volatile situation 'over there'.

4 - Million Dollar Prize Winners with PowerPlay from Last Night's PB in Puerto Rico?
Huh. Well that makes the odds a little less fantastical, though no less interesting. Would still love to know if the ticket buyers are connected in some way. Does PR allow for anonymous claims?

$83M Mega Millions jackpot claimed in Georgia
I think that if a state has a law that says lottery winners can not remain anonymous to claim prizes they should not be able to make LLCs to claim the prize and skirt the law.

Infamous lottery winner's house burns
I am aware that West Virginia does not allow winners to remain anonymous. But imagine if Whittaker had simply avoided the news conference when he claimed the prize. Maybe his granddaughter would still be alive today. Maybe he would still have a great percentage of the prize money.

How would you claim a lottery jackpot if you won?
I'd go down to the lottery office and claim it. Arizona doesn't allow anonymous winners but they did pass a law last year where you can have them delay releasing your name for 6 months. I'd take advantage of that to get my ducks in a row, move, and institute some security measures.

How would you claim a lottery jackpot if you won?
The states that allow anonymous claiming of a jackpot prize are few. Some states allow trusts, partnerships, etc. to claim but still release the name(s) of the actual winner(s). If your state requires you to be publicly identified, how would you approach redeeming your ticket and claiming your prize? This is aside from the logical protocol of contacting experts for the financial aspects and referencing the actual claiming itself.

Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
For what I've read, nothing was boiling my interest. I read a once in a while a short like anonymous correct mathematical statement, but that is like one out of 10000 posts on LP.
