Lottery ticket has all the numbers, but 7 seconds late
Joel Ifergan came within seven seconds of becoming a multi-millionaire, and he's ready to go to court to claim his windfall.
Mr. Ifergan bought a lottery ticket one night at 8:59 p.m., but Loto-Qu bec's computers processed and printed it only after the draw's deadline at 9 p.m.
It turned out to be a winning ticket but it popped out of the machine too late. Now, Mr. Ifergan is suing Quebec's behemoth lottery corporation for $13.5 million, saying that the machine's time lag cost him his shar

Mega lottery winner to open school for witches (well, not quite)
Believes 'gods' want him to 'take the bull by the horns'
Ellwood Bunky Bartlett Mega Millions lottery winner, Wiccafn high priest, recently retired accountant would like to clear up a few misconceptions about his plans for a witch school.
Yes, he'd like to start a pagan seminary. But no, it's not going to be some sort of Hogwarts-on-the-Patapsco, with precocious adolescents running around in wizard hats and casting spells.
Bartlett instead envisions the place as sort of a yeshiv

Oklahoma Lottery scrambles to increase revenue
Education funding doesn't see expected boon; officials cite low prize payouts as root cause
With sales floundering compared to projections, Oklahoma Lottery officials are scrambling to bring in more money.
State officials are saying the lottery hasn't been the boon to educational funding it was touted to be.
To increase lottery sales, Lottery Commission Executive Director Jim Scroggins is advocating putting more of the lottery sales into prize money, saying people play to win.
The fe

Nationwide, lotteries struggle to stay competitive
Lotteries across the country are struggling to remain competitive, retaining their players while increasing their bottom lines. Last year, 25 U.S. lotteries reported increased sales, but New York's lottery was one of six that had higher profits.
One key to New York's success is that the New York Lottery continues to attempt to be fun and entertaining, said former Lottery Director Nancy Palumbo, who was interviewed before leaving the division late last year.

Illinois Is Putting Lottery on Block for Quick Payoff
The state of Illinois yesterday took the first steps in selling its state lottery system, hoping to attract as much as $10 billion from investors who, in return, would own a monopoly that could turn out to be the biggest jackpot yet.
The sale, which may occur as early as the spring, would not be the first privatization of public property - both Chicago and Indiana have recently earned billions of dollars by signing long-term leases with private companies to run toll roads. But the proposed l

How an LP major jackpot winner could help lottery players
Here's the Board of Directors for GTech. I'll confess they don't appear to be all that sinister.
Dewey was Managing Director of Donaldson, Lufkin Jenrette Securities Corporation from 1983 through 1995, and as a member of its Board of Directors, and the name Jenrette has the ring of a US Senator or Representative involved in some scandal decades ago, but there mightn't be a connection, probably doesn't mean anything.
No mention anywhere of any of these folks being on the MUSL board.

illegal immigrants poll
Quote: Originally posted by justxploring on May 5, 2006 I'm figuring they'll figure out how to get the job done. A lot hire professional 'coyotes' to get them across the border and into the interior of the US. Maybe they'll just use a special kind of coyote to cash their winnings, or more likely, a cousin or nephew who's here illegally.
I said that in my first post on this thread, that most illegal immigrants have relatives living here. I do agree that they are not any more rowdy than

When we sit and see a person do something and then judge it to be unworthy we are fooling ourselves for we do not know the reason and that person may bring great healing and stand blessed by the light of God.

Pick 3 Forecast (Multiple States) 14th Edition
At the end of this previous post (scroll all the way down) I mentioned that....
I predict this 100 drawing forecast will win three times.
Plant the seed. Nurture the seed.
I see something in the stats that I never seen happen before with this particular class of strategies that I'm testing. It's like watching a planetary alignment about to happen.
I have 3 individual strategies that are predicting the same thing for the same state drawings.
Strategy #1 : Play =
