Hoosier Lotto in a dry spell
Players suspicious of computerized drawings 1 Year. 102 Drawings. 0 Jackpots. Players grumble as Indiana lottery players join Tennessee's in their shared disdain for the computerized drawing system. Steven Haddix didn't cross his fingers or grasp a lucky rabbit's foot after buying tickets Tuesday for tonight's Hoosier Lotto drawing. Instead, the Indianapolis resident expressed mistrust of the Lotto system, which has gone nearly a year without a jackpot payout. I'm a little leery of

IL Little Lotto
I am going to try something new for me. I am testing some numbers for the entire month of September. It is actually a RNG I made up using all 39 numbers with a twist. These numbers below had the most Jackpots and 3 4 numbers hits when checked against the whole Little Lotto history( so I guess you could call them HOT). I've always got my eyes on them hotties... Thanks, time*treat, for that number checking macro!!!! https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/158893/2

Gambling pushed banker to steal $1.4 million
Deb Anderson didn't begin her 27-year banking career as a thief. She started as a teller at Pioneer Bank, the lender in her hometown of 3,300 on the outskirts of Sioux City. She won promotions, despite a lack of college or any formal training in banking or accounting. By 1991 she was named cashier - a respected and powerful job at most community banks. I had a tremendous amount of trust in her and her position, bank President Richard Aadland said. But in 1996, 18 years into her career

TV station reports on the Kansas Lottery
Some say it's harmless entertainment. Others say it can lead to a dangerous addiction. Some say its a simple way to raise millions for important state programs. Others say it's a game that takes advantage of the poor. But, however you feel about the Lottery it's here to stay. The old adage, 'it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game' does not apply here. Tony Trotter says he's been playing the lottery for years. I figure somebody has got to win somebody's got to wi

NJ Lottery's payroll trims state take
Part 1 of a 3-part look at the New Jersey Lottery To lottery players, the scratch-off tickets and numbers games are a fun way to pass the time and maybe strike it rich. For state government, however, the games serve a more practical purpose a big business. By many measures, the system works: New Jersey ranks among the top five states in converting lottery sales to profit

Study proves lottery not 'regressive tax' played mostly by poor
Editor's note: As you'll read below, the initial data provided by the New York Lottery to The Post-Star was incorrect, but the comparisons of geographic sales data and the results of the study were still valid, even after the correct figures were applied. Lottery Post has long opposed the theory that poor people disproportionately play the lottery, and this in-depth look at actual lottery sales data supports Lottery Post's position. Some have gone as far as labeling lotteries regressive taxat
