PA resident winning lottery in NJ - Taxes
LP is full of people who worry about what to do with their imaginary MM PB jackpot win, some even go as far as worrying about how to stay anonymous. LOL. No kidding, win first and then worry about what to do next.

Strategy for remaining anonymous
I know I'm not jumping through hoops trying to remain anonymous. If you didn't know me, call me, or talk to me before I won don't bother trying to after I've won. That will be my statement to the public at my press conference

Strategy for remaining anonymous
Even if the lottery winner is not associated with dishonest people bad things can happen. Considering the open borders how the economy is going the bad people are going to take special interest. The best way to stay anonymous is not to play if you are not in a state where you can claim the ticket anonymously.

How would you react?
Update on this. I took people's advise and drove to Wyoming and got my own tickets. So, if in the next 4 draws someone in Wyoming hits powerball and someone in Ohio wins powerball and the Ohio ticket is never claimed, you'll know who it is. LOL. I also might add, in order to answer the question of who cares if it is a anonymous state, you just want to win.. How many states have you had tix in at one time?
I have had as many as 6 at one time, MI, OH, IN, KY, TN, GA. I usually get multi-draw tickets with the state lotteries except for Ohio. Since you can remain anonymous there, I buy state lottery and multi-draw PB MM tickets there.

Puzzling cliff-hanger remains in case of poisoned lottery winner
Yes, I have a sister who would kill me in a heartbeat if she thought she could get $25K by doing it. I'm already estranged from her, so if I were able to remain anonymous, I'd have no worries. She wouldn't find out. But since I can't, I'd have to draft an iron clad will specifically leaving her out, and send it to her to make sure she knows she couldn't profit by my death. She's so spiteful, she might still try to make my life a living hell, but probably not kill me.

Would you quit your job if you won the lottery? Many say no
Yes, because I live in Florida, and you can't stay anonymous. So I would quit, move, and possibly find a new job depending on the amount I won.

Can I become anonymous?
Not if you buy your tickets in FL. You have to redeem the ticket in the same state where you bought it, and anonymity is determined by the laws of that state. If you want to be anonymous, you'll have to buy your tickets in a state that allows it.
