Do you wait for the PowerBall to get to a certain amount?
I do wait for the jackpot to get up in the 9-figure area simply as a method of budgeting my purchases. Playing every draw can be expensive. And if a better odds game, like Match 6, is up in the I can retire on that range, I won't play Powerball regardless of the jackpot.
That, and the fact that 4 out of the last 7 jackpots have been won in places I'm not even allowed to play Powerball (or as I have referred to them in the past, bigot states ) has really got me irked and thinking You've h

Saturday's PB Win
Saturday's Powerball win in Arizona is the absolutely perfect Jackpot hit and congratulations to the lucky ticket holder.
15 Million Powerball jkpt (7M cash), is just what a person needs to retire, buy all the toys they desire, a big new home, (and why not a yellow Humvee every other year?) ... and spend the rest of their lives traveling to distant places around the globe.
Sure, it's fun to occasionally chase the wild and crazy stratospheric rollover levels, but as I have chanted before ..

how have you done with lottery in 2006?
done really good this year since playing online. i keep trying to get my wife to let me retire early and just play the lottery. usually make more in one day than all week working 45 hours.
And I owe most of my good fortune to Sfilippo for DUKE !! I am even on my new laptop that I purchased with last week's winnings.
for the new year I wish everyone hits thier number on the day they play it.
Thanks again DUKE !!

How to give a Lottery Post membership as a gift
I also received a month platinum membership from a very special lady. It does seem like there are a lot of gift memberships this Christmas. It's kinda neat. The Spirit of Giving is alive and well.
I was going to retire from the lottery January 1 as part of my New Year's resolution so I could pursue my art interest; I guess now I will have to stick around for another month!
Thank you Mrs. Santa for the membership!!!

You know you're a die-hard lottery player when...
Coin Toss,
Truer words were never spoken. It makes the pain of losing so much more pleasant. I watch her, not the machines or numbers drawn. Then I retire to bed with a smile on my face and use the fresh losing lottery ticket as a new bookmark.
I want to get a Linda Kollmeier for President bumper sticker...boy would we have a mellow country under her care.

Wisconsin factory workers win $208M Powerball lottery
I'd love to have $600,000 net. However, I agree that if the winners are young and have families, they will still want to keep working. So what's wrong with that? I'm not saying I could do it, but if I were 25 or 30 and smart enough not to go wild with the money, it would be better to invest it safely and let it double every 10 years and retire early. It all depends on whether or not a person needs instant gratification or can look beyond today. Even if someone continues to work for just 10 or 1

Do you really think you have better odds?
Depends... if you're talking about the jackpot games (like Powerball) I don't think systems help much. The odds are just too high. You can spend say $200 on one drawing and you don't reduce your odds to anything sane. May as well just pick numbers out of the air....unless you are just looking to get a hit on the lower tier prizes.
If you're talking the Daily Games (Pick 3 and 4) then you are starting with much lower odds. Systems and methods help reduce those odds. Instead of one in a million

First Time Luck-Is there a name for this?
Hi tntea:
Sorry to hear you Tennesseeans aren't getting keno. I think you'd have been able to retire off that.
Good seeing you.

David Edwards(Powerball winner) home sold
I guess I will never understand what you are talking about either.
You must be part of the upper class.
Give me 1 million dollars and I could retire and be happy.
