Hey Lucki - good hearing from you ! You're right on the money about buying 40 tix and getting a $500 win - according to the emergency rules - it has about 12,000 $1K tix (GRT about 3,000) they are about tied on $500 tix (adding $25M's $400 and $500 tix) - around 70,000 each --- so where are the $25M wins ? I used to get a lot of $500/Nuggets from GRT - in the past month with over 120 tix not one ! GRT is dead unless another reorder comes out - even then, when you read the * disclaimer it says MA

It all depends on the profit margin. They'll weather decreased sales if it improves the bottom line. I read somewhere that Powerball's sales decreased 10% after the price increase to $2 but I don't recall hearing if profits were up, down or the same.

I hope not also. But I read on Texas Lottery Commission meeting minutes that the state lottery commissions around the country are really looking into a national lottery. Still don't know if that means PB and MM will be combined, or if it will be a new game altogther. It's still a ways off from happening, but I think it will happen, I guarantee it will cost more than a buck. The trend right now is states offering new games at a cost of $2. They are doing whatever they can to increase revenue,

I'm sure if Californians had PowerBall, someone from your state would be winning it as often as you all win MegaMillions. California has a lot of lottery players and I'm surprised more of you aren't traveling out of state to win PB too. Do some number combinations have better odds?Reply
I dont have the computer skills that a lot of the other LP members seem to have so my efforts are very elementary and simple. I dont do any tracking other than what I can remember or go take a look at. I have tried 5 all the way up to 30 numbers for elimination and 10 to 15 seem to work best. Most of the time that eliminations fail it is on draws where it dint matter anyway so Im happy with 15 for now.
