I remember when this guy won and i was very happy for him...Now I feel nothing but pure sadness...I hope these killers get life is jail...I don't want this type of garbage roaming the streets in society...straight up predators..they are ruthless killers...I fell sorry for the girlfriend and the kids who will be traumatized by this for the rest of their lives..the killers really need to pay.But this isn't the 1st lottery killing story I have read.The state should give people the option to remain

UK lottery winnings have the right to remain anonymous. I can't see any good reason to go public. Maybe winners get caught up in all the excitement and want to let off steam. However, I suspect, that many who do go public about their win, regret it later, especially as the many begging letters arrive.

The main reason why the lottery post names, location of ticket bought, etc is so to prove there really was a winner. I agree though that you should be remain anonymous as much as possible but if you choose not to than that should be up to the winner to do a press conference or what not.
