N.J. Lottery to end live broadcast of midday drawing
They say the will show a summary of the drawing result at 1PM? You still can see it w/o internet but it will be a fleeting moment on the screen. As it was the drawings were remotely-controlled with a disembodied voice reciting the numbers. Someone I talked to also feels that the drawings can be fixed because the camera zooms in just before the ball pops up so you don't see that it came up from the tube, although I think that's far-fetched. But I'm surprised they didn't just go computerized like

Kansas Lottery officials mull GTECH systems failure
Nice to see the Kansas is putting some focus on the computer systems, but I really wish they would seriously consider getting rid of the computerized drawing system.
I've said for many years that the first lottery to go back to real drawings will cause quite a stir among players, and if handled correctly as a major player event with some nice web feeds of the live drawings as a novelty that lottery will capitalize on some big sales improvements.
The people of Kansas deserve to get their re

Q about Sunday drawings...
(Nothing about playing on Sundays, etc...this is different)
Illinois had a Midday and an Evening Pick 43 and 4 every day except Sunday, on Sunday there is only an evening drawing.
This being the case, for those who track numbers and do paper and pencil workouts, and computerized ones, here's the question.
Do you consider the Sunday evening drawing just another ddrawing, or does anybody consider the Subday evening results as their own entity, so to speak?

computerized drawings set to take over the lottery in a few years?
There seems to be a trend towards moving to computerized (Random Number Generator - RNG) drawings. For one thing, state lotteries say that they are cost effective . They are easier and cheaper to maintain in the long run and maybe even cheaper to buy to begin with. I'm not crazy about the idea to begin with, mistakes can be made, like the one with the Tenn. Lottery. I think that part of the problem is that it is so much easier to believe that it truely is random with a physical ball based s
