THE OLD MAN LOST TICKET STORY,,, here is the deal, I spoke with a supervisor over the phone at lottery central and they told me about the old man story, she really would not get into details (likely legal reasons) but that they rejected his claim, something about the ticket being lost, destroyed, etc, She said they encourage persons with situations like that to file a claim to contest, the old man did, and won. Another story she told me was about some guy who won 175K, not very long ago, she wou

Men who threw away $100,000 scratch ticket now seek prize
Two guys buy a ticket. They figure they won $40 on $100,000 winning ticket.I have a couple questions...1) What was the combined IQ of these two minds and why are they playing a lottery game that they do not understand how it is won? Two people, mind you, not one, eliminating the chance of one person making a mistake and yet they claim they both did.2) Why did the garbage picker decide to check that particular ticket for a win? All of us lottery players know how many losing tickets are in

$14 million Illinois lottery jackpot expires
And now another country heard from. For all intensive!! purposes the ticket was real and valid. GBJM04's claim was put in months ago when she saw that her husband was NOT coming forth with his claim. She knew she was entitled to a big portion as was her brother for signing the ticket. The girlfriend was mad as a hornet when she learned she was not on the ticket because there was no tape running where it was purchased. She was capable of doing anything and threatened to destroy the ticke

A MAJOR gripe about Powerball!!
Hi folks,I've been lurking for quite some time now, but decided to join this evening (and thank you, Todd, for setting up this site).OK, now on to my little rant that I've have with Powerball! As you probably know by now, there was a winner in last Saturday's draw, but the powers-to-be had decided NOT to inform the players about it untill AFTER tonight's drawing!!! Lottery RIGGING !!
No one is trying to hammer you. I'm stating a fact there are 220,000 plus posts on this site. nearly every lottery related topic has some reference to it. I'm not trying to get you angered. I'm trying to help. I just mentioned Maryland because 666 hit 4 times this year so far. So a lot of people think that maybe somebody is playing tricks on us. Some people mentioned that how do we know it was not a taped drawing done at some other time prior to the drawing. What happened in PA was dumb of cours

Wisconsin Lottery switches to computers to select winning numbers
Of course, most slots these days are RNG's with a pretty graphics engine. Not sure how many true mechanical reels are out there anymore. I'm meeting with the major slots vendors next week and will try to remember to ask. Most lottery RNG's are also capable of high-end graphic output. Oddly, many output computer-generated ball drawing machines, for those few people who still whatch lottery drawings on TV.Triples and Quads not imaginative? The most popular lotto numbers for nearly every state
