Beating the Lottery by cooperation not competition
I know of a poker group who runs tabs on their win/loss and reconciles who owes what at their New Year Eve's party. Now, theres a finite way of playing Pick3/Pick4, each strategy/system/method is valid, its only a question of when it will hit. Assigning 1 LP member of a pool, 1 strategy to play every draw and then reconciling win/loss at a specific interval (7/14/30/60/90 days) might be a good way to play the Lottery. If the pool strikes gold, they can scale up their wagers and hope for bi

if you joined a pool, did you vet the other players for honesty before jumping in feet first?
If I were to join/run a pool I would be fine because tickets I buy for myself would be self picks. The only strategy in being in a pool is to buy a large number of quick picks in hopes of a long shot win. Members couldn't possibly sue as the written agreement would clearly articulate that quick picks are bought for every drawing. If I can recall though, in every instance where I read a pool was suing its leader, tickets were not copied, scanned and e-mailed prior to the drawing. So I too

1. well if i was in charge of the pool i think i would always buy my tickets on a different day. or 2. let someone else take care of getting the pool tickets that way your personal tickets has nothing to do with that pool.

Just wondering, based on some recent horror stories. Hairstylists are told by fellow pool player l won the jackpot last night with a ticket l bought seperately - but you guys are not part of my winning , sorry kinda thing. How would you gauge honesty with this bunch since you the newbie?

UK shopkeeper guilty of lottery fraud
The term lottery syndicate makes these players sound so ominous like the mob or gangsters. I like the term lottery pool because I think of fun in the sun in a swimming pool. That's were you will be if you win the jackpot. Partying in the POOL!!! The article also mentions the missing ticket being screwed-up. I think that better describes the thief shopkeeper. And, what does that mean anyways? Was the ticket crumpled up, altered, ripped, or something else?

Are you more comfortable playing the lotto as an individual or joining a pool?
I run a pool at my office and find it more fun to have 10-15 tickets a play instead of my measly 1-2 tickets which I doubt I would even buy on a regular basis. To make it less hairy I forfeit buying tickets outside of the pool but with a pool I have more money to play with so we can pick a few lines using what ever voodoo number picking hairbrain strategy we conjured up rather than qp them all. If someone left town and forgot to pay before they went all they have to do is text a photo of tickets

Lotto System Development Simplified
'First of all, 0-7 comprise 80% of all base 10 digits, so 56% seems a bit shy of expected'. What's your position on subject of discussion? May be specifics on your part , without quoting odds , but using data to explain your position will make this discussion worthwhile . People perceive data in different way, I may interprete 7/10 ratio in days, for draw digits between pool 0-7 from dates dec 31 to Jan 7( This was trending, so choosing days, weeks, or months data to select my pool size is my

Beware of sharks swimming in your office lottery pool
The nice thing about a lottery pool is that I get to pick the numbers for 100 tickets for tonight's drawing. A lot more than I would buy on my own. I protect myself with a very simple contract that everyone signs. I am sure it is not flawless, but it is enough to establish who was in the pool and who wasn't for a court case. The following individuals agree to join a lottery pool for the Powerball drawing on 11/28/12. Each participant shall have contributed $5 prior to signi

$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
Good questions. The article says This is the third $300+ million jackpot Powerball has produced in a single year the first time any lottery game has accomplished that feat. Of course, people who post here understand that's because of PB's January price increase to 2 dollars. I run a lottery pool at work. (I know...bad idea, but I do it anyway) We play MM or PB when either of them gets up to over 100 milion. A guy who regularly partcipates in the pool mentioned to me not too long ago It se
