I think our friends in Florida are already onto this. Read that forum and you will see their eyes opening. No way it is random and it never will be. States are not going to release the grand prize winners on day one of a game and hope they are not all sold in the first week. Games are released in waves which ensures the states will make money before all the grand prizes are paid. Gambling is gambling no matter what form and the house will always win. However someone is going to win a grand prize

I did not buy any of the 30 dollar tickets today. I traveled to 3 different counties today and people were buying those tickets like crazy. Most I had seen anybody win was $30. The majority was losers. This ticket is too new and the crooks of the NCEL will not release any of the big monies until they have sold thousands and thousands of losing tickets and then the big one will come.

Thanks! Was surprised that the new tickets (which aren't coming out until tomorrow) weren't posted on the NY Lottery website. They usually post all new tickets the Monday before the release date.

hit 5m was retired 2 months ago and someone claimed the last of the top prizes this week - just means the game can no longer be ordered by the retailers and all remaining tickets have to be cashed by said date my feeling is October 13th we will see a new $30 (hopefully will not be as awful paying as the win 1m for life but will probably be if not worse but still will make loads for the lottery) because the tickets are set for the Sept 1 release, and October 13 is the next date in the 6 wee

Heroin........nice, guess she needs to choose her boyfriends a bit more carefully going forward. Guessing she is one that will be broke in a year!

Everyone here has good points. What would be most interesting to me--- is not whether it was the same person or not, but whether those 3 winning tickets were quick picks, or self picks. As I am sure some people know you can get a combination ticket where you pick one part of the number and let the machine do the rest. It depends how you fill out the slip. So for example I might have a favorite powerball number and pick that number on the slip but mark off quick pick for the remaining 5 numbers.=
